CIRQUE BRITANNIA PERFORMANCE CANCELLED

HIGHGATE--The All Arts Council presentation of Cirque Britannia: Victoria Drawn from Life at the Franklin County Field Days site on Wednesday at 3 p.m. has been cancelled.
Cirque Britannia will debut a first-of-its-kind creative collaboration between the Cirque and iconic Blue-Zoo Productions the studio home of Miffy and Friends, Alphablocks, Digby Dragon, Numberblocks, and Miffy's Adventures Big and Small. "Victorian England had a wonderful stable of eccentric notables and odd fiction," Blue-Zoo founder Sir Oli Hyatt said. "We started with Madame Rachel and her 'Costly Arabian Preparations' for our narrator and the show just erupted."

Victoria Drawn from Life invites you into an astounding world where the art of Blue-Zoo Animation meets the memorable characters of Queen Victoria's realm: Jack Dawkins, young Pip, the Barnacle family (so we can find everything on stage going round in circles), David Balfour and Alan Breck Stewart, and the fairy siblings Sylvie and Bruno. They meet Bram Stoker's Englishman, Archibald Hunter, American heiress Marjory Drake, and the seer Gormala MacNeil from The Mystery of the Sea who draw them into second sight and the intrigues of the Spanish-American War.

There is a kidnapping, secret codes, supernatural elements, and even some political thriller as the set moves from London to Jacobite Scotland to Elfland and Outland. Gather your family for a leap into this amazing new show. It's a live acrobatic journey in which the Field Days stage is replaced by a giant animation table. The art of computer-generated animation is recreated for the live stage through exceptional design, dazzling choreography, acrobatic performances, vivid and realistic costumes, all new characters, and an original score. The show is alive with all the high-flying, mind-blowing exuberance that put Cirque Britannia on the map. Victoria Drawn from Life presented by Cirque Britannia and Blue Zoo with a little help from Charles Dickens, Robert Louis Stevenson, Bram Stoker, and some extras from the imaginations of the Blue Zoo. World Premiere April 1, 2020.
The troupe was founded in 1876 and now comprises over 160 circus performers who tour Great Britain and the world.
