I have good news. It was the elf. The elf forgot. Darn it.

ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls presents A Seussified Christmas Carol on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. ALL SEUSSED UP
Mr. Dickens' classic Christmas story meets the wacky rhymes of Dr. Seuss in this whimsical show as Bed-Headed Fred to Timmy Loo Hoo bring us rhymed couplets of zoot fruited juices and binka bird geese. It's a play Dr. Seuss might written -- if he ever had his way with the story.
Get all spruced up and come on out. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Kids under 5 are free. Tickets are available from enosburgoperahouse.org or at the door.
SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council hosts a free Bottle Cap Art Class twice this week as part of the ongoing It Only Hurts When I Craft series in the Swanton Free Public Library. The group will gather this evening at 6 p.m. and again tomorrow at 2 p.m. IN THE SAC
There will be a Creative Meeting at the Library on Monday starting at 5:30 p.m The Creative Meetings include an art offering and discussion.

SOUTH HERO--The Blue Paddle Bistro presents Carol Ann Jones in a solo show this evening at 6:30 p.m.
The Blue Paddle has limited seating and a small bar so call ahead (802.372.4814) for reservations.

SOUTH BURLINGTON--Higher Ground presents the Nobby Reed Project with very special guests The Dog Catchers in the Showcase Lounge tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. The concert is a benefit for the Vermont Foodbank.
Rythym and Blues group, Dog Catchers, has Bob Weisburgh, lead guitar; Phil Peery, rythym guitar; Steve Peery, bass; Gene Bouffard, drums; and Jesse Beck, harmonica.
Extraordinary guitarist Nobby Reed makes the guitar cry when he plays and sings the blues. Vermont's own blues trio includes Eric Belrose, percussion, Ray Bushey, bass, and Mr. Reed on lead. He has recorded 10 albums and has shared the stage with blues legends Dickey Betts, Mighty Sam MacLain, Leon Russell, Little Feat and more.

JERICHO--The Jericho Cafe & Tavern presents its holiday show with Carol Ann Jones and Will Patton tomorrow evening at 7 p.m.
Friday and Saturday
ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents Elliott Johnson on Friday and A & M on Saturday. Both shows start at 7 p.m.
Elliott Johnson is a solo singer/acoustic guitar player. He "covers intricate classic rock tunes."
The musical duo A & M from St. Albans is Aaron Bachelder, guitar and vocals, and Melinda Lussier, keyboard and vocals. They play modern and classic rock including ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Stone Temple Pilots, as well as originals, and more.

ENOSBURG--The Enosburgh Public Library welcomes Santa Claus on Friday from 5-8 p.m. They will take photos and have hot chocolate, games, and a gift for everyone FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF
There will be a showing of a classic holiday movie at 7:30 p.m.
Holiday Cookies come to the library all day on Monday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
FAIRFAX--The Fairfax Community Library film series, Freedom & Unity: One State--Many Visions, continues today at 6 p.m. The film screening and discussion series looks at our state with a six-part series of films. Part 3, today, explores Refuge, Redemption, and Revolution with a discussion of innovation, the interstates, and the counter-culture.
The Vermont Humanities Council program is hosted by the Friends of the Library.
RICHFORD--The AA Brown Library has Christmas Cards created from artwork donated by local author and artist Christa Chevalier. The cards cost $3 each or four for $10.
All proceeds help buy new materials and programming for the library.
ST. ALBANS--Busy day today at the St Albans Public Library. Mornings, Muffins & Mysteries takes on Deadheads by Reginald Hill this morning at 10:30 a.m. It's a slightly offbeat story about a charmingly vague accountant whose boss believes he's a multiple murderer. The Writers' Medley, where writers share their work with peers, will take over the room this afternoon at 2 p.m. Call Wanda (802.524.1507) for a helpful prompt. Classic Movie Night this evening features San Francisco Ballet performance of The Nutcracker at 6 p.m. The San Francisco Ballet granted permission to present this special one-time showing. Films are shown on the 4' by 6' screen in the upstairs conference room cinema. Admission is free, along with popcorn and beverage. Astronomy Club meets this evening at 6:30 p.m. Like-minded enthusiasts eager to share their knowledge and love of the sky.
Stir the Pot is a book discussion group that will have you reading, cooking and eating on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. This month, the Cookie Walk means bring six dozen of your favorite holiday cookie. Boxes are provided.
SWANTON--Holiday cheer in the Swanton Free Public Library starts with the movie Prancer this afternoon at 3 p.m.
The Library hosts Tiny Trees on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
The great Christmas Read-a-Thon reins in a sleigh-full of favorite Christmas stories next Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Ms. Beaulieu is looking for volunteers to read. Call 802.868.7656 for more info.
