MUSCLING INTO THE BLUES

East Coast Muscle knows the blues and how to use it.
Blues You Can Use highlights the solidarity of a power band: Noble Francoeur hammering a bass under Nobby Reed's fiery guitar riffs, plus drummer Richie Ward and George Curry on harp. They are joined by Jack Phipps, trumpet, Peter Giancola, tenor sax, Marty McRae, trombone, Andre Maquera, guitar soloist, Dan Battan, guitar, and Ric Bell, conga.
Their cover of the classic Buddy Guy tune, Leave My Little Girl Alone shows tight vocals and solid instrumentals. Between them, Noble, Richie, and Nobby wrote the other 15 cuts. Nobby's last track, Think of Me, is a mellow blues lament. Richie wrote the words to Case Dismissed, a fast boogie tune that Mr. Charley likes.
Bruce Iglaur of Alligator Records liked the ambience on Leave My Little Girl Alone, a slow blues tune that captures some of Nobby's bluesiest guitar, and told Noble that Never Let Me Down Easy has strong vocals with nice guitar.
