Summer Sounds concerts are always in a Town park, always on Sunday evenings at 7 p.m., and always free.
There will be no Summer Sounds concerts in St. Albans City in 2019. The city remains in arrears for prior concerts.
We host live free concerts (almost) every Sunday evening throughout the summer. The lineup of original performers and new friends includes a medley of bluegrass, country, folk, gospel, pop, and classic rock-n-roll. The 2018 series will concentrate on our roots in Highgate with nationally known performers. Each concert is free. Settle in on your own blanket or lawn chair and enjoy outdoor family music. Bring your own bug spray.

This year, the up-and-coming performers
you will soon see on stages around the world
will perform at many Summer Sounds concert intermissions.

"Free" concerts are expensive to stage. The host towns, local business sponsors, and the All Arts Council hire the bands, create the publicity, and set up shows every summer weekend. Summer Sounds welcomes our sponsors of this popular series: Chevalier Drilling, Desorcie's Market, Drummac Septic Service, La Quinta Inn & Suites, O. C. McCuin & Sons, and Ray's Extrusion Dies. These businesses need your support to continue. Please remember to thank the hosts and patronize the sponsors.
Besides the music, food is a big part of the fun of an outdoor concert. Local community groups will host each event with special activities, family fun, bake sales, grilled hot dogs, and even ice cream socials to make every Sunday a great family holiday in the park. This year, the AAC, Foster Grandparents, Highgate Methodist Church, and St Paul's Scholarship Committee, host the concerts in each town. Watch this space for the details.
