      Summer Sounds 2001 is Franklin County's premiere outdoor concert series. The series opens with Mister French on Sunday, June 24, 2001, in Highgate. The complete schedule is shown here.
      This page introduces our Summer Sounds performers.


      O.C. McCuin and Sons present the four piece Mister French in Highgate Municipal Park on Sunday, June 24, at 7 p.m. With the best rock music from the 60s and 70s, Mister French plays the hits of the Beatles, Doors, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin and more. The Summer Sounds concerts are always on Sunday evenings, always at 7 p.m., always in a town park, and always free.
      Gary "Buddah" Norful, keyboards and vocals, Jeff Wheel, guitar and vocals, Tim O'Brien, drums, and Jimmy "Oxo" Carter, 6-string bass guitar have been together for about four years but have nearly a century of collective music experience. Oxo is well known for playing in the Jimmy Carter Show, Sass, Uncle Sam, and Run21. "We have an incredible array of tasteful classic rock," said Jeff Wheel.
Mister French plays the Vermont club circuit, weddings, private parties, and has appeared in several Franklin County Festivals including Summer Sounds.
