ENOSBURG--The Enosburg Harvest Festival takes over Lincoln Park with live music by Second Had Blues and Uncle John's Band, arts and crafts, food, face painting, a bouncy house, and more on Saturday at 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The annual Enosburg Business & Community Association event celebrates the beginning of Fall colors. ST. ALBANS--Hard'Ack hosts the annual Afterglow Music Festival with Love Story, Fleetwood Macked, and Dirty Deeds on Saturday at 1:30 - 9 p.m. Love Story is a tribute to Taylor Swift. Fleetwood Macked is a tribute to the band formed by Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Dirty Deeds is an AC/DC Tribute.
The day of live music, family fun, and community healing shines the light on suicide prevention. There will be local food trucks, a full bar, face painting, bouncy houses, a climbing wall, obstacle course, and the Hard'ack playground. Bring a photo or keepsake in honor of someone you've lost to suicide for the Memory Wall.
Admission is free-$33.85 in advance. 100% of the proceeds are a direct contribution to fund suicide awareness and prevention programs in our area. Find them on Facebook for tickets and more info.

ST. ALBANS--The Artist In Residence collection spotlight is on the late stained glass artist Jennifer Buckner. Ms. Buckner generously donated her inventory to the gallery to sell. AIR is forever grateful for her contribution; she will be missed. ART ON THE WALLS
The art and fine craft cooperative features paintings, fiber arts, stained glass, sculpture, lamps, pottery, folk art boxes, scarves, hats and more by 38 Franklin County and surrounding area artists. JEFFERSONVILLE--Bryan Memorial Gallery features Masha Hoffey at the Affordable Art Fair in New York City and on Facebook . Ms. Hoffey is "inspired by Russian Orthodox iconography, decorative painting, and folk art."
The gallery has exhibits of the landscape painters of New England. The main showcase in Jeffersonville is open Wednesday-Sunday 11 - 4 and the Stowe Gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 - 5. Appointments are available. Call ahead (802.644.5100) to schedule or click here for more info.

SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council free Art Journaling Group meets in person at the Swanton Free Public Library on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Art journals, junk journals, art pages and more are on the table and make for fun for artists, writers, scrap bookers, and more. The group meets to share ideas and to take time to create. ST. ALBANS--A new Franklin County male a capella chorus is "calling all gents" to meet at the Masonic Lodge this evening at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome, no experience necessary. NORTH HERO--The joy of community dancing to lively music continues at Island Arts with International Folk Dancing with instructor Lesley Alpert at the North Hero House Pier on Friday at 9:30 a.m. DANCE
All dances are taught. No partner required. No experience required, and new students are always welcome. Bring your water bottle and wear comfortable, flat shoes. ENOSBURG--The Enosburgh Recreation Autumn Adventures for Seniors program led by Alice Reighley begins Intro to Jazz Dance in the Emergency Services Building on Tuesday at 1;30 p.m. Senior Jazz class is a low-impact way to keep active. ST. ALBANS--Did you know that Tom Messner is the field announcer for the Vermont Lake Monsters? Osher Lifelong Learning Institute continues the Fall weekly program series with Mr. Messner's talk From Weather to Baseball, a Vermont Broadcaster's New Chapter in the Greg Brown Lodge at Hard'ack today at 11 a.m. He will talk about his partnership in the Lake Monsters and hosting a podcast that highlights Vermont startups. FRANKLIN--Speaking of the weather, the Haston Library will host meteorologist Robert Haynes to talk about Our World of Weather: Pulling Back the Curtain on What the National Weather Service Does at Franklin Town Hall this evening at 6:30 p.m. The presentation on weather forecasting and reporting will also show how they provide alerts. The program is free and open to the public.
ONLINE--Vermont Humanities dives into Social Tinkering: Connection Conversations II online on this evening at 6 p.m. The free, 3-part, virtual meetup takes includes a brief presentation, generous connection time with other participants, and a "Micro-Connection Challenge" to carry connection forward. ALBANS--Northwest Farmers Market fills Taylor Park with live music, handmade crafts, locally grown food, prepared foods, free kids activities on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Nathan Michaud plays for the Missisquoi River Basin this Saturday. EAST FAIRFIELD--The Oleo Romeos return to the Meeting House on the Green for a concert benefiting the Fairfield Food Shelf in the 2025 Music Series outdoors on the terrace on Saturday at 5 p.m. "Doors" at 4. With their undeniable desire for non-perishable food and their amiable disregard for public decency, Jerry Bowers, Will Patton and Tyrone Shaw will to slither their way through multiple musical genres. There will be plenty of room on the Green to "kick up your heels and dance the night away." Grab and Go light fare and desserts will be available for sale or bring your own picnic.
Parental discretion advised. Kids are okay Admission is by $10 suggested donation and a non perishable food item with those under 12 admitted free. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. ST. ALBANS--Church Street Sounds of the Season begins with the annual Organ Recital presented by Vaughn Watson and John Riddle in a joint concert on the historic Hook and Hastings pipe organ at the First Congregational Church on Sunday at 3 p.m. Mr. Watson is the past Dean of the Vermont chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Mr. Riddle is the Organist and Choirmaster of Trinity Episcopal Church in Rutland.
The annual fundraiser helps with the upkeep and maintenance of the Hook & Hastings tracker organ that was installed in the St. Albans church when it was built in 1892. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Find them on Facebook for more info.

ST. ALBANS--The Eloquent Page Mystery Book Club meets for the Deep Blue Goodbye by John D. MacDonald on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The first of the 21 novels in the Travis McGee series, the book introduces us to his houseboat won in a poker game, the Busted Flush, in slip F-18 at the Bahia Mar Marina in Fort Lauderdale and to his philosophy. Mr. MacDonald considered all the novels in the series as one long story of the life and times of Travis McGee. told in many instalments. McGee directly inspired Lee Child's Jack Reacher has been the prototype for other heroes such as Jake Lassiter, Carver, and Thorn. Find them on Facebook for more info.

ALBANS--The St. Albans Free Library hosts Mornings, Muffins, and Mysteries to discuss The God of the Woods by Liz Moore this morning at 10:30 a.m. Two worlds collide when a teenaged girl vanishes from her Adirondack summer camp in 1975. She's the second child in her family to go missing in those woods. The group reads a variety of mystery genres and meets the third Thursday of each month in the Martha Dalton Meeting Room.
