ST. ALBANS--The Artist In Residence Gallery features different artists each month. This month, the spotlight is on master carpenter and fine art woodworker Courtney Adams,stained glass creator Jennifer Buckner, painter Patrick Murphy, and fabric artist Anne Standish with a live reception at the gallery this evening at 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. A.I.R. celebrates the monthly Featured Artists in the gallery, online, and on Facebook. ART ON THE WALLS
The art and fine craft cooperative features paintings, fiber arts, stained glass, sculpture, lamps, pottery, folk art boxes, scarves, hats and more by 40 Franklin County and surrounding area artists. ST. ALBANS--The Franklin County Quilt Show fills St Albans City Hall on Saturday at 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. There will be a special quilt challenge, Make It 25! to commemorate the 25th quilt show. Guild members have created small quilts that depict "25" or the quilt show or both. Guild members and vendors will demonstrate quilting techniques. The guild has donated thousands of quilts to charities and individuals including as Spectrum Youth, VNA and Hospice of the Southwest Region, and to fires and other disasters since it was founded in 1991. The guild's Raffle Quilt was constructed by Laurel Schaap and long arm quilting by Diane Comeau.
SOUTH HERO--Snow Farm Vineyard and Once Upon a Rock host a Pebble Art Workshop on Sunday at 12 noon. This workshop will use pebbles, rocks, stones, driftwood, and lake glass to create artwork. From framed pieces to candle holders, each piece is unique. They provide guidance and inspiration; what you make will be completely your own creation. ART YOU CREATE

SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council hosts Cardmaking with Barb in the Maker Space of the Swanton Free Public Library today at 2 - 4 p.m. All supplies are provided.

RICHFORD--Guardian Angel Ministries presents the faith-based film One by One at the Richford First Baptist Church on Saturday at 6 p.m. with hot dogs, chips, and beverages at 5. ST. ALBANS--Osher Lifelong Learning Institute continues the Spring weekly program series examines The Impact of Climate Change on String Instrument Building Now and The Next 60 Years with Kathleen Reilly in the Greg Brown Lodge at Hard'ack on today at 11 a.m. String Instruments have traditionally used specific tonewoods and tropical hardwoods for materials. The co-owner of Vermont Violins discusses the disruptions to the habitat traditional tonewoods predicted by climate models. HUMANITIES
This semester will offer eight lectures, held from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Thursdays through April 10. JEFFERSONVILLE--Bryan Memorial Gallery begins the three-part Landscapes in Watercolors workshop with Gary Eckhart on Saturday at 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The workshop continues on April 12 and April 19. Students will practice deconstructing reference materials to create fresh, compositions and will work with new and vibrant color palettes. The cost is $450. MONTGOMERY--Montgomery Center for the Arts hosts a Mug Painting Fundraiser on Saturday at noon. "Enjoy homemade snacks, baked goods, and curated n/a drinks!" HIGHGATE--Beat the Winter Blues with Bad Horsey at the Highgate Arena on Saturday from 4 p.m. on. The 17th annual fundraiser supports Make-A-Wish with live music, a happy hour, a catered dinner by Phoenix House, a silent and live auction, and a chance to win a 2025 Subaru Impreza. Event tickets including dinner are $60 per person. Car raffle tickets are $100. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
