MONTGOMERY--Montgomery Center for the Arts presents Her Majesty's Secret Circus at the Montgomery Grange Hall on Sunday at 7 p.m. GLOBETROTTING SPY
The Secret Circus features spectacular juggling, ridiculous comedy, and the world's only Bow and Plunger. Never heard of this globetrotting spy? You're not alone. The spy-themed stunt comedy show makes a one-night-only appearance just a mile down the road from where performer Maya Curvelo grew up. WESTON--Vermont artist Corliss Blakely has returned to Weston for the second of two outdoor weekend shows "right across the street from the Bryant House in the center of Weston" on Friday-Sunday this week. ART ON THE WALLS
"I'm really excited to be back in Weston again this year," she said.
The show features lots of new oil paintings including Poets Daffodils, Flowers And Lace, Kathy's Iris, and Winter Berries. She will have a selection of watercolors and her Limited Edition Prints and Nature Scarves.

FAIRFIELD--Meta Strick continues the A.I.R. sponsored 2019 Sunday Afternoon Art Workshops with Intro to Polymer Clay Techniques at her studios on Sunday from 12 noon - 5 p.m. Materials and tools are provided (as well as a good time with great people). ART YOU CREATE
Ms. Strick describes the workshops as, "Loose, experimental, and fun." Each is a five hour opportunity to learn a new technique or improve on another. Try a different material. Share some new ideas. Enjoy exploration and play, and leave with a unique project. Ms. Strick is a mixed media artist who has been "playing with art since she was old enough to clutch a crayon in a chubby fist." ST. ALBANS--Twiggs hosts Reflection on the Wind with Paint Nite and artist Diane Kingston on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Friday ON STAGE LIVE
ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Company presents Erin Cassels-Brown live on the taproom stage on Friday at 6 p.m.
The indie-folk and alt-country singer-songwriter performs original "celestial" country music.
ESSEX--The Double E presents Bernardo: Songs from the Well on Friday at 9 p.m.
Nine Vermont musicians--Patti Casey, Michael Chorney, Brian Clark. Peter Cressy, Seth Eames, James Harvey, Mark LeGrand, Colin McCaffrey, Anais Mitchell, Robinson Morse, and Peg Tassey--wrote songs for singer Miriam Bernardo to sing on her first solo album.

SHELDON--Fall Music Series continues at the Abbey with George Richard's Johnny Cash Tribute Show in the Pub on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is $10 for the evening of the iconic sound of the music of Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Three. Click here for tickets.
ST. ALBANS--First Time is the Best with Eleven at Nelly's on Saturday at 8 p.m.
The trio of seasoned musicians officially kicks off a musical barrage of hits from the 70s to the 90s. Scott Guptill, guitar and vocals; Taylor Arsenault, vocals; and Scott Belisle, bass and vocals; make up the rock n roll trio. Why Eleven? "Because it's one better than ten and ten is considered good. Besides, we don't play much past eleven.
"Come for dinner, stay for the show, and continue the evening dancing to the sounds of a featured DJ starting at 11PM."

ST. ALBANS--Church Street Sounds of the Season presents Va-et-Vient at the First Congregational Church on Sunday at the special time of 4:30 p.m.
Carol Reed, Suzanne Germain, and Lausanne Allen bring French music of all regions to life with voice, violins, guitar, flutes, pipes, percussion, and mandolins. Laissez les bons temps rouler. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted. The site is wheelchair accessible.
Tuesday
ST. ALBANS--Singer/songwriter Troy Millette continues his Fall Residency live at 14th Star Brewery on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
A New England "must-see artist," Mr. Millette will takes you on a musical journey of imaginative covers, original songs, and stories on the Taproom Stage every Tuesday in October. His latest album is Living With A Ghost.
ST. ALBANS--Northwest Access TV hosts its annual Awards Night at the studio on Monday at 6 p.m. AWARDING TELEVISION
The local access channels honor and celebrate the talented producers, staff, and volunteers who inform and entertain our community. They will also elect board members and view videos from the 1999 archives. The event is free and open to all. Appetizers and a cash bar will be on site.
Many libraries will be closed on Monday. FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF
All non-essential federal government offices are also closed on Columbus Day. The holiday commemorates the arrival of the Christopher Columbus in the Americas. It is celebrated every second Monday of October, and has been a federal holiday since 1937. The states of Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, Maine, New Mexico, South Dakota, and Vermont do not recognize Columbus Day.
