ENOSBURG--The Best Christmas Pageant Ever takes over the Opera House at Enosburg Falls for a three-day run, Thursday - Saturday at 6:30 p.m. THE CHRISTMAS ARTS EVENTS
The Enosburg church community's annual Christmas pageant is traditionally directed by the elderly Mrs. Armstrong. When she becomes incapacitated, another church lady takes over and finds she must cast the six Herdman children, two girls and four boys, the meanest, nastiest most inventively awful kids in the whole history of the wide world. They're hooligans, they're free and unsupervised, and great fun to play.

The Eloquent Page has Ilamae Lund's new book, Small Friend With Paws, just in time for Christmas. The charming account of how a cat changed the author's life is illustrated by local artist Lorna Dielentheis. It costs $4.94 and $1 of every sale goes to the Franklin County Humane Society. MONTGOMERY--The Montgomery Center for the Arts hosts the Holiday Market at MCAKeltonHall on Saturday at 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
A collection of local vendors will market goods; from fine art, pottery, and textiles to soaps and jams and tinctures and ornaments. The event will take place in the basement "Laboratory" so follow the signs to the side entrance and peruse the selection.
ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Company hosts 2 Crafty -- an Evening of DIY and Drinks in The Room this evening at 6:30 p.m. ART YOU CREATE
It will be an evening of craft creativity and craft beer. Featured local artists Lindsay DiDio, Vicki Isham, Michelle Russell, and Jean Ward will offer instruction and all materials needed to get your craft on. ST. ALBANS--Twiggs hosts All Ages Paint Nite "Let It Snow, Man" on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

ST. ALBANS BAY--The Bayside Pavilion presents Gypsy Wind live on Friday at 6 p.m.
The St. Albans duo of Jesse John Potts and Andy Hoadley plays an eclectic repertoire of freshly interpreted covers and originals spanning several decades and genres.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents Lamoille County folk singer and songwriter Abby Sherman on Friday and the eclectic Buck Hollers on Saturday. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

MONTGOMERY--Myra Flynn returns to The INN and the Celebration of Expressive Arts for a holiday dinner concert on Saturday evening. Dinner at will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the concert in Lounge at 7 p.m.
A singer/songwriter, Ms. Flynn brings soulful vocals and a lyrical delivery to her original indie/soul blend of songs. This event has sold out for the last two years. Call the INN (802.326.4391) for reservations or find them on Facebook for more info.
ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Company presents the Shane Murley Band live on the taproom stage on Saturday at 6 p.m.
ESSEX JUNCTION--The Pearl Street Pub sasses up its Customer Appreciation and Holiday Party with S.A.S. on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Come one, come all to the annual party with entertainment by Scott Guptill, April Reynolds Begnoche, and Scott Belisle and all the customers. They'll play classic and pop rock songs from the 70s to the 90s.
ST. ALBANS--Nelly's Pub presents Summer Sounds favorites Dark Horse playing everything from Alabama to AC/DC on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
Dark Horse is a five-piece country band with two guitars, bass, drums, and keyboards for a mix of six string lead, double lead, rhythm, slide, and acoustic twelve string, keyboards and Hammond organs, grand pianos, and more. All five members sing lead and the band is unique in its complex, five part harmony. Bob Corbiere, Bob Berger, Dark Horse (or the Walrus, koo koo ka choo) Rick Leggett, Peter Giammanco, and Kent Blackmer will bring their mix of new and old country and classic rock. "Join the Stampede and bring your dancing shoes."

EZRA JACK KEATS BOOK AWARD (December 31)--The award identifies and encourages early talent. To be eligible, a writer will have no more than three children's picture books (including nonfiction, chapter, and YA) published under any name prior. 29TH GABRIEL PRIZE STUDY CLASSICAL ARCHITECTURE IN FRANCE (January 14)--A $20,000 grant is conferred annually to a jury-selected applicant to cover costs of travel, lodging, and study for a period of 3 months. Interpretative studies are to be graphically recorded in freehand sketches and presented in perspective drawings reflecting the skill of the winner. No Entry Fee. SWANTON--The 90 Second Newbery Film Festival concludes at the Swanton Free Public Library on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF
The Film Festival is an annual video contest in which young filmmakers create movies that tell the entire stories of Newbury-winning books in about 90 seconds. The library wants to get creative and make a movie together: plan, script, film, and edit movies for the festival.
