MONTGOMERY CENTER-- The Montgomery Historical Society and NCSS invite everyone of all ages to Montgomery Holiday Happiness at Pratt Hall on Saturday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. CHRISTMAS GIFTS and EVENTS
There will be a concert with the Richford Community Chorus plus face painting, horse drawn wagon rides, Kurt Valenta, and more. Cocoa and cookies will be served.
SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council Writer's Group will meet at the Swanton Free Public Library this evening at 6 p.m. Members can share progress and join in the discussion about longer projects and anything else about writing, reading, publishing, and more. ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls presents Three Christmas Plays in a three day run, Thursday-Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. THE PLAY'S THE THING
Celebrate the season with an evening of Christmas cheer. The Grinch, The Christmas Spark, and A Christmas Carol feature local talent of all ages, all in one night.
Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students/seniors, or $25 for a family ticket.

RANDOLPH--Carol Ann Jones performs at the Morgan Orchards Senior Living Community in central Vermont this afternoon at 2 p.m.
Morgan Orchards intends to make "retirement fun."
ST. ALBANS--The Grind Cafe hosts the BFA drama class in a StorySLAM this evening at 6 p.m.
The Moth style slam live storytelling. Storytellers (slammers) have 5 minutes each to tell a story, and all are told and not read.
Thursday-Saturday
ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents acoustic duo Leno & Young on Friday and performing songwriter and Summer Sounds favorite Mark LeGrand on Saturday. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--Caleb hosts Open Mic at the Grind Cafe on Saturday starting at 6 p.m.
This event is open to musicians, stand up comedy, and poetry reading. There will be a sign up sheet at the cafe to sign up ahead of time. The Grind will serve coffee drinks all night, along with beer, wine, and interesting food choices.
SOUTH HERO--Snow Farm Vineyard features singer/songwriter Carol Ann Jones for Wine Down Friday on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

ESSEX JUNCTION--On Tap offers Summer Sounds favorite IncaHoots on Friday at 9 p.m. (with the Natural Selection opening at 5 p.m.)

MONTGOMERY--Myra Flynn returns to The INN and the Celebration of Expressive Arts for a holiday dinner concert on Saturday evening. Dinner at will be served at 5:30 or 6 p.m. and the concert in Lounge at 7 p.m.
A singer/songwriter, Ms. Flynn brings soulful vocals and a lyrical delivery to her original indie/soul blend of songs. She performed at the Mint in Los Angeles last week and will be on MainStage at the Flynn for First Night-Burlington.

ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Co. reprises IncaHoots on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The special beer and barbecue evening will keep the holiday season going with music, dancing and Dave Long, Jeff Wenig, Kevin Connelly and John Geno and in (Christmas) cahoots.
ST. ALBANS--Durty Nelly's Irish Pub hosts Bad Horsey on Saturday at 9 p.m.
Billed as "Vermont's own classic rock band," Roy Hartson, guitar and vocals; Bryce McNall, lead vocals; Beaver Hartson, drums; Adam Sleboda, bass and vocals; and Mark Lussier, guitar and vocals, invite you to "Come dance away the Christmas blues." $5 cover.
Wednesday
SOUTH HERO--Carol Ann Jones reprises The Power of Music: Twelve Souls in Song as a solo show in the Congregational Church of South Hero on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The show centers on a dozen senior citizens from the over 180 people in her journal to show music's power to connect with those beyond memory's reach. She tells their story and then sings their favorite songs. She plans to perform her show in all 14 counties in Vermont to bring awareness to the organization.
Admission is $15 (or more if you want) which goes directly to Music and Memory. Ms. Jones will collecting used iPods. The proceeds benefit Music and Memory to provide iPods for senior citizens who can use music to bring back some of their memories.
ST. ALBANS--Sean Jarvis hosts Open Mic Night at Durty Nelly's Irish Pub on Wednesday starting at 6:30 p.m.
Show off your talent; everyone is welcome to grab the mic and perform any Wednesday evening on the Tavern side.
