THE KING
Summer Sounds favorite (and internationally acclaimed) Elvis tribute artist Mark Shelton and his live band move effortlessly from the Elvis Presley songs of the 1950s to the 1970s, mirroring the King of Rock n' Roll. Mr. Shelton wowed the crowd in Highgate and is one of the most dynamic performers.
Consistently performing sellout shows Mr. Shelton has become internationally acclaimed as an Elvis Tribute Artist. His shows have been featured on ABC News, CBS Inside Edition, Good Morning America, as well as international features in India, on Fuji Television Network in Japan, and the Daily Mail in the United Kingdom.

Admission ranges from $23 to $49.75. The concert will raise funds for the American Cancer Society and Vermont's Relay for Life. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life movement is the world's largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community. The Swanton Arts Council Writer's Group will meet at the Swanton Free Public Library this evening at 6 p.m. Members can share progress and join in the discussion about longer projects and anything else about writing, reading, publishing, and more. IN THE HOUSE
Mr. Stoppard has shortened one of the best known of Shakespear's plays and written a feature of a man admitted to a private, country hospital. Inside the Pompington home, with a storm raging outside, Ms. Lane has brewed a blood-and-thunder melodrama.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents singer, songwriter, and guitarist Tim Brick on Four Dollar Friday and the Balladeer and Bluesman, Cooper and Lavoie, on Saturday. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Company and the Saint Albans Museum present the third annual St. Albans Oktoberfest featuring Vermont's German Band, Inseldudler, on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. The day includes live music, traditional German food from Smokin' Butts Bar-B-Q, a Mobile Museum Display, and craft beer from 14th Star.
Admission is free. Proceeds benefit the St. Albans Museum and their mission to preserve historical artifacts and make history come alive.
ST. ALBANS--Back Inn Time hosts the Blue Rock Boys for Music & More on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The duo features BFA's Eric Bushey on guitar, vocals, and banjo, and Cliff Crosby on guitar, vocals, and harmonica. They bring their "vintage eclectic" style, rocking everything from old mountain string tunes to the Beatles and beyond.
The special musical evenings are a leisurely dinner opportunity for guests and the public. Seating is limited, so reservations are needed if you plan to dine. The Inn will again feature a limited edition local and organic menu.
EAST FAIRFIELD--Summer Evenings with Vermont Treasures presents Coon Hill John at the Meeting House on the Green on in the final show of the season on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The "uniquely traditional" Vermont band has a wide range of originals mixed with a vault of folk, country, bluegrass, and rock covers. They are Sophie Jane, violin, viola, vocals, and guitar; Samantha Bradley, mandolin and vocals; Chris Bradley, guitar, vocals, harmonica, and percussion; and Chad Conant, banjo and vocals.
Admission for all concerts is by suggested donation
of $10 per person at the door. All shows support the Meeting House Preservation

HYDE PARK--Carol Ann Jones presents The Power of Music: Twelve Souls in Song at The Hyde Park Opera House on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The show centers on a dozen senior citizens from the over 180 people in her journal to show music's power to connect with those beyond memory's reach. She tells their story and then sings their favorite songs. She plans to perform her show in all 14 counties in Vermont to bring awareness to the organization.
Admission is $15 (or more if you want) which goes directly to Music and Memory. Ms. Jones will collecting used iPods. The proceeds benefit Music & Memory to provide iPods for senior citizens who can use music to bring back some of their memories.
