ST. ALBANS--St. Albans Community Arts hosts Fall for St Albans, the Fall Art Walk and Downtown Sale, on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Celebrate the fall with local artists. The weather looks nice so the Downtown will be outside, enjoying the fall sunshine. There are performers, painters, photographers, dancers, writers and more. Start you holiday shopping early and support the arts. ART FOR THE WALLS
ST. ALBANS--The Artist In Residence Gallery features different artists each month. This month, the spotlight is on painter and sculptor Lori Niederer; graphic artist, painter, sculptor Claire Payne; and Longina Smolinski who paints, sculpts, does installations, and creates hand-made jewelry. ART ON THE WALLS
The A.I.R. gallery hosts a free meet-the-artists reception with refreshments and a raffle today 4 - 7 p.m. The exhibit continues through the end of October.
The Artist in Residence art cooperative features paintings, fiber arts, stained glass, sculpture, lamps, pottery, folk art boxes, scarves, hats and more by 40 Franklin County and surrounding area artists. It is owned and operated by the artists and sponsors. The gallery, newly reopened at 10 South Main Street, is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here for more info.
ST ALBANS--The Northwestern Medical Center Gallery hosts photographer Wayne Tarr this month. Mr. Tarr specialized in portrait and fine art photography.
The show continues through the end of October.
SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council will film the "Farmer's Market Scene" for Swanee 2 in the village park on Saturday promptly at 9 a.m. through noon. Please show up in costume. Extras welcome. Email with any questions and for more info. IN THE SAC

ST. ALBANS--The Burrow at the Catalyst Coffee Bar hosts a First Friday Open Mic on Friday at 5 pm.
Express yourself. Spoken word, music, poetry, storytelling, it's all good downstairs. Sign up starts at 4:30 p.m.
ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls presents Franklin County Voices, a staged reading of Secrets by Julia Scott, on Friday at 7 p.m.
Admission is free to see and hear the winner of the young playwright's competition.
ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Company presents Gypsy Wind on the taproom stage on Friday at 6 p.m.
The St. Albans duo of Jesse John Potts and Andy Hoadley plays an eclectic repertoire of freshly interpreted covers and originals spanning several decades and genres.
ST. ALBANS--Durty Nelly's Irish Pub present Chris and Erica continuing their Barefoot and Pregnant Tour live in the Pub on Friday at 6 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents the homespun originals and handpicked covers of John Smyth and Jenn Croteau on Friday and the Jazz, Soul, Pop, Blues, R&B Vermont trio Third Shift with the lead vocals of Colleen McLaughlin on Saturday. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

EAST BURKE--Mike's Tiki Bar presents the Nobby Reed Project on Friday and again on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Vermont's own blues trio includes Eric Belrose, percussion, Ray Bushey, bass, and Mr. Reed on lead guitar and vocals.
Saturday SOUTH HERO--The Champlain Islands Harvest Fest takes over the St. Rose of Lima Church with live music on Saturday from 10 a.m - 2:30 p.m. There will be a full farmer's market, food vendors, kid's games, photo booth, raffles and more.
ST. ALBANS--Once more for the road.
Durty Nelly's Irish Pub hosts Nightrain Live: The Final Show in the Pub on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
After over 12 years and countless shows, Nightrain rolls into the City one last time to celebrate and say thanks to everyone who has supported the band over the years. "It will be epic with every Nightrain member, past and present there to rock the house before calling it a career." This one time event features Harvey, Justin, Eric, Andy, Brad, Taylor and Tom, all on one stage for one last night playing all of the songs you know and love.
Sunday
JERICHO--Music Sunday returns to the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library with the Michele Fay Band on Sunday at 2 p.m.
This compelling ensemble features original and Americana music from right here in Vermont. Their repertoire provides a mix of understated originals and traditional songs, played and sung with relaxed polish, personality and taste.
ST. ALBANS--The Church Street Sounds of the Season concert series presents Frevo in the First Congregational Church on Sunday at 3 p.m.
The quartet performs an eclectic sampling of music for flute, clarinet, cello and guitar; their repertoire includes world music, jazz, classical, pop, and the newest sounds from today's creative musicians, including their own original compositions.
The two married couples are good friends who share their joy of the music with each other and the audience. Clarinetist Steven Klimowski, cellist Bonnie Thurber Klimowski, classical guitarist Peter Matthews, and flautist Wendy Greenwald Matthews have the Fall program of the music of Antonio Lauro/Matthews, Derrik Jordan, Peter Matthews, and David Gunn plus Dona Nobis Pacem Frevo and three Beatles songs. Ms. Klimowski will play her improvisation on Amazing Grace. The concert will include various groupings of the four as solos, duos, trios, as well as the full quartet.
Admission is by donation to support the musicians and this program.
