Rotary Club of St. Albans opens the 25th annual Home & Recreation Exposition with free admission tomorrow. The EXPO annual fund raiser runs through Sunday at the Collins-Perley Sports and Fitness Center. 100% of the profits go to support the Rotary charitable work in this community. ROTARY EXPO
Building a new home this year? Planning a home remodeling project? That new space can easily help showcase your own collection of art. Or perhaps you need, absolutely need, a music room? Or space for a kiln.
Rotary supports local organizations. The Learn to Ski Program takes youngsters to Smugglers Notch. They offer annual support to programs like the Hannaford Gift Box program. Martha's Kitchen, and Special Olympics. They particularly like to help the start-up or expansion of local programs or facilities.
Admission is free. The doors will be open from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday. The Collins-Perley Sports and Fitness Center is located just off I-89 at Exit 19. Click here or visit them on Facebook for more info.
The 30th annual Arts Advocacy Day is so big it takes two! Arts peeps will gather in Washington, D.C. on Monday and Tuesday, March 20-21. It is hosted by Americans for the Arts in partnership with over 85 other national arts organizations to meet with Congress to garner support for issues like arts education policy, the charitable tax deduction, and funding for the National Endowment for the Arts. Monday will include interactive advocacy training and peer-to-peer learning and networking. Tuesday, after the Congressional Arts Kick Off, advocates can meet with their congressional representatives to share their stories about the impact and transformative power that the arts have in their communities. The Day brings together a broad cross section of America's cultural and civic organizations, along with more than 500 grassroots advocates from across the country, to underscore the importance of developing strong public policies and appropriating increased public funding for the arts.

SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council congratulates Sage Evans, winner of the 2017 Emerging Artist Award. IN THE SAC
The SAC holds its Program Meeting and Update at the Swanton Free Public Library on Monday at 6 p.m.
Anita Michele Parah will lead a Pinwheel Workshop at the Teen Center Creation Space on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--The 14th Star Brewhouse hosts artist Jon Young in a Paint and Pint session on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. PAINT AND PINT
Mr. Young will instruct a step-by-step session to create an original piece of art.
Paint and Pint sessions are $35 per person which includes the two-hour art instruction, all necessary painting material, a pint/glass of a beverage, and the final masterpiece.

SOUTH HERO--The Blue Paddle Bistro presents Carol Ann Jones in a solo show tonight at 6:30 p.m.

ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls Movie Night features Fiddler on the Roof this evening at 7 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--The Twiggs Open Mic and Lucky Shamrock TNT Comedy Thursday hosted by Suzan Ambrose continues on the Main Stage Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Sign-up begins at 6:30, open mic is at 7, and the showcase is held at 8 p.m.
Next up, Twiggs presents the rowdy trio Uncle Jimmy on Friday and the "power duo" Blue Rock Boys on Saturday. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Company hosts the AWTB St Patrick's Day Bash in The Room on Friday at 6 p.m.
All Without The Bass is an acoustic pop band that plays a songlist from the 80s-to-today with "other classics and genres sprinkled in for good measure." The Plattsburgh group has Amber Johnston, vocals; Dan Bushey, guitar, drums, and vocals; and Michael Racette, guitar and vocals.
MORRISVILLE--River Arts presents Plays & Pints on St. Patrick's Day at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
It's an evening of six one-act comedies and beer and pizza. and the show starts at 7pm. Read Between the Lines is a collaboration of actors from Stowe Theatre Guild, Lamoille County Players, and the Johnson State College Theater Department. They will perform pieces that include Steve Martin's Zig Zag Woman and David Lindsay-Abaire's edgy How We Talk in South Boston. There are some adult themes.
Admission is free. Refreshments extra and donations are welcome. Buy a brew or slice.
Saturday
SOUTH BURLINGTON--Higher Ground presents The Kids Are Alright in the Ballroom on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Doors open at noon.
The show offers kids' songs reinterpreted and ready to rock with special live performances including Rough Francis, Swale, James Kochalka Superstar, Madaila, and Dwight and Nicole. The Kids Are Alright Concert celebrates and supportes Vermont's award-winning arts magnet elementary school, the Integrated Arts Academy in Burlington.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 per kid in advance or $12 for adults or $7 for kids on the day of show. Click here for tickets and more info.
SHELDON--The third annual Shamrockin' for a Cure has dancing all night to Bad Horsey at the Abbey on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The community group supports cystic fibrosis research.
There will be a prize for Best Dressed. They will auction a brew tour with swag from 14th Star, Switchback, Magic Hat, Foam Brewery and more plus, Canadians, Bruins and Red Sox tickets, an overnight stay at StoweFlake and more.

ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls presents Prydein at the House on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The St. Patrick's Day celebration brings Vermont's own Celtic rock band to the stage with a new CD. About Time brings some re-worked Whisky Before Breakfast classics, some original songs, surprising covers, and some "kick-ass old Celtic tunes done in a way that only" this bagpipe rock band can. The new album will be introduced at two CD Release parties this weekend, at the Vergennes Opera House on Friday and the Enosburg Opera House on Saturday. A cash bar and refreshments will be available.

ST ALBANS BAY--Bayside Pavilion brings back the Bucky Lewis Comedy Show on Saturday at 9 p.m., doors at 6.

Sunday
KEY COLONY BEACH, FL--The Blues Brothers rock the Key Colony Beach Community Association's Concert in the Park series in Sunset Park on Sunday at 4 p.m.
The Blues Brothers Soul Band Rhythm and Blues Tribute is a "high-kicking, ball-busting, hard-rocking, nail-biting, cat-fighting, film-faking, tight-fitting, feet-stomping, dance-crazed, alcohol-hazed, powerhouse performance of a show" with "Joliet" Jake Blues a.k.a Paul Ferretti and Elwood Blues a.k.a Robert Vicens. They perform throughout the Florida Keys and Southern Florida.
Concerts in the Park are free concerts sponsored by the KCBCA. Concerts started on Valentine's Day and take place in Sunset Park on most Sunday afternoons. The park has a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and the setting sun. Bring a chair or blanket and refreshments. Parking is limited so walking, biking or ride sharing is recommended.
MONTPELIER--The Green Mountain Film Festival 2017 kicks off on Friday and continues through March 25 at the Savoy Theater. FILM

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs and the Eloquent Page bookstore present John DeDakis in a day-long writing workshop, From Novice To Novelist, at Twiggs on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF
The Emmy award-winning journalist and author returns to St. Albans for a step-by-step guide that deconstructs and demystifies the writing process. By the end of the workshop, you will be equipped with the skills to start and perfect your story. The session on rewriting will include a writing lab.
