FINE ART--Vermont artist Corliss Blakely has a new series of paintings and Nature Scarves from her new studio. CHRISTMAS GIFTS and EVENTS
"This holiday season I'm really excited to offer one of my Nature Scarves with every purchase of an original oil painting until December 25th," she said. Shipping is free in USA.

MUSIC--Carol Ann Jones' new CD Christmas in Vermont is available now from the artist and on .
She will also have CD Release shows in Williston and St. Albans next week.

ST. ALBANS--The Artist In Residence Gallery features different artists each month. This month, the spotlight is on artist Corliss Blakely, photographer Wayne Tarr, multi-media artist Pam Voss, and photographer JoAnne Wazny. ART ON THE WALLS
The A.I.R. gallery hosts a free meet-the-artists reception with refreshments and a raffle today 4 - 7 p.m. The exhibit continues through the end of December.
The Artist in Residence art cooperative features paintings, fiber arts, stained glass, sculpture, lamps, pottery, folk art boxes, scarves, hats and more by 40 Franklin County and surrounding area artists. It is owned and operated by the artists and sponsors. The gallery, newly reopened at 10 South Main Street, is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here for more info.
ST ALBANS--Saint Paul's United Methodist Church hosts the annual Craft Show and Luncheon at the Church on Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
ST ALBANS--The Northwestern Medical Center Gallery usually hosts a different artist each month. The construction has made that difficult.
"Renovations are moving along very well," Volunteer Services Supervisor Katherine Winchester reports. The exhibit should return in January.
MORRISVILLE--River Arts has a host of activities during Morrisville's Festival of Lights celebration on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. IN THE ARTS COUNCILS
The Artisan/Farmers Market will operate 11-3 p.m. Lantern Making also takes place from 11-3 p.m. Modern Times Theater presents The Perils of Mr. Punch at 11:30 a.m. Phil and Pati Kirk play a mix of Irish, Scottish, French Canadian and Appalachian music live at noon. Ballet Wolcott presents The Nutcracker at 1:30 p.m.
All events and activities are free.
ST. ALBANS--The eighth annual Festival of Trees hosts a variety of community events throughout the week. Proceeds from this year’s annual auction, and other Festival of Trees events, will benefit the St. Albans Community Arts. FESTIVAL OF THE TREES
Thursday: The sixth annual Running of the Bells begins and ends at Peoples Trust today at 6:30pm. The 1-mile run/jog/walk through downtown St. Albans benefits Operation Happiness. Trophies will be awarded at the end of the event for best holiday costumes. Click here for more info.
Friday: The Festival of Trees Gala and Holiday Art Live Auction has live music from the Contois School of Music Band, dancing, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and cash bar, all in the newly renovated St. Albans City Hall starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $30. Tickets are available at The Franklin County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Bayberry Cottage, and Imagination.

Saturday: The Candyland Walk starts at St. Mary's Church at 9 a.m.
Santa's Workshop takes over St. Luke's Parish Hall from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for crafts and gingerbread house decorating with Mrs. Claus and the elves, plus a visit with Santa himself.
The Vermont Choral Union Concert, Heavenly Light, takes place in St. Albans City Hall at 7:30 p.m.

The Ballet School of Vermont presents The Nutcracker in St. Albans City Hall on Sunday at 1pm. Tchaikovsky's classic tale of toys comes to life. Admission is free performance.

ESSEX JUNCTION--On Tap offers Blues Night with the Nobby Reed Project tonight at 7 p.m. Vermont's own blues trio includes Eric Belrose, percussion, Ray Bushey, bass, and Mr. Reed on lead guitar and vocals.

ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing presents Summer Sounds favorites IncaHOOTS on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The special event is a chance to enjoy the music, dancing and the Vermont's own beer with Dave Long, Jeff Wenig, Kevin Connelly and John Geno and kick off to the holiday season in (Christmas) cahoots.
ST. ALBANS--The Franklin County Dementia Care Coalition presents the Jamie Lee Thurston Acoustic Show with special guests Carol Ann Jones and Will Patton in the Bliss Room at the St. Albans Historical Museum on Saturday at 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit Care Partners Adult Day Center Admission is $25. Tickets are available at Jolley Stores in Enosburg, Milton, and St. Albans.
ST. ALBANS--The Vermont Choral Union Concert, Heavenly Light, takes place in St. Albans City Hall as part of the Festival of Trees on Saturday at 7:30 pm
The program of holiday music, from the medieval period to the Renaissance, features the 36-voice chorus joined by the Champlain Consort.
Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $40 for families. Tickets are available at the door.
Sunday
ENOSBURG--Celebrate the season with the Enosburg Community Chorus and the Enosburg Town Band as the Opera House at Enosburg Falls hosts the annual Christmas Concert at the House on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Admission is free.
