BIG MUSIC WEEKS
FRANKLIN COUNTY FIELD DAYS
Franklin County Homemakers Club will hold an ongoing quilt demonstration. The Arts and Crafts are bigger than ever. There are "Make and Take" projects
every day. 14th Star Brewing has a new unfiltered Field Days Pilsner just for
the Fair. It is a 14th Star spin on the classic beer style.Music starts at 2 p.m. today as Field Days switches up with headliners to open and close each day. The Fair starts off with two up-and-coming performers on the Main Stage. Singer Rosie Newton kicks off the entire show at 2 p.m., Brooke Hazel assumes the position at 4:30, and Full Tilt brings it home starting at 7:30 p.m.
Tomorrow, Troy Millette opens the day at 11 a.m. American soul, gospel and jazz singer Donnie Williams builds up the Main Stage at 3 p.m. and Summer Sounds favorites Dark Horse will burn it down starting at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the Keeghan Nolan Band starts the entertainment day at 11 a.m. The Missisquoi River Band with Pat Murphy plays the afternoon shift, starting at 4:30. Justice hits the Field Days stage for the first time at 8 p.m. "Get ready to rock with us as we justify Franklin County."
The Nobby Reed Project lights up Sunday morning at 10 a.m., then Richford's Booze Hounds anchors the stage at 1 p.m. until the Field Days gates close. Roger Lavallee, Cameron Sheltra, Dale Lumbra, James Longe, and Chris Longe will play "solid arrangements of your favorite songs."
Field Days has "One Price" admission of $10 per day for adults, teens, and children over three feet tall. It includes all midway rides, exhibits, and entertainment. Children under three feet tall are admitted for free. A limited number of rides may be available for small children. Parking costs just $1 per car inside and outside of the gate.

ART ON THE WALLS
The A.I.R. gallery hosts a free meet-the-artists reception with refreshments on Sunday from 1 - 3 p.m. For the first time, A.I.R. welcomes 14th Star Brewing as a vendor at the reception. The exhibit continues through the end of August.
The Artist in Residence art cooperative features paintings, fiber arts, stained glass, sculpture, lamps, pottery, folk art boxes, scarves, hats and more by 45 Franklin County and surrounding area artists. It is owned and operated by the artists and sponsors. The gallery, located at 321 Main Street, is open Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus the first Sunday of each month, noon to 5 p.m. Click here for more info.
ON STAGE LIVE
BURLINGTON--The Breakwater Cafe and Grill summer series features Starline Rhythm Boys tonight starting at 6 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--The One Fed Summer Concert Series gets Close to Nowhere this evening at 7 p.m. for a night of bluesified funk with jazz and punk.
The full band is back "after a short break for family addition purposes" with Rich Furniss, rhythm guitar and lead vocals; Mark Hagerstrom, lead guitar and vocals; Spike Hendrickson, bass and vocals; and Kevin Kehoe, drums and vocals.
The summer concert series has performers under the tents every Thursday, rain or shine.
Friday
ST. ALBANS--The Downtown Summer Concert Series presents the Chameleon featuring Deana Paquette and Mike Trombly in the E.A. Loomis Bandshell in Taylor Park on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
The concert is free. Food and drink will be available.
ST. ALBANS BAY--The Bayside Pavilion presents the Bluerock Boys for a "vintage eclectic" evening on Friday at 6 p.m.
The Boys features Clif Crosby, Guitar, Harmonica, and Vocals; Ted Crosby; Tenor Saxophone and Vocals; Sabina Perkins; Vocals and percussion; and Eric Bushey, Guitar, Tenor Banjo, and Vocals. They cover music from the Tennessee Waltz to Beck's Where it's At by way of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, and James Brown.
Saturday
STOWE--The Trapp Family Lodge Deli and Bakery features singer-songwriter Carol Ann Jones in a solo show on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m.
"I can't wait, it's so beautiful there!" she said.
Wednesday
ST. ALBANS BAY--The Citizens Concert Band performs at the Bath House in St. Albans Bay Park on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Under the direction of Kevin Loomis, the Band seats about 45 musicians in all ages from high school soloists to working professionals. Vocalist Claire Chevalier Hungerford is renowned for her role in Counterpoint.

MORRISVILLE--Moog's Place has "live music every night we're open, starting between eight and nine pm" with open mic night scheduled most Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs offers Music to Dine By with relaxed music and the arts. They have three stages with live piano, violin, or light guitar any day of the week in the dining room, the Window, or the main stage. The Cabaret offers live performances by musicians, visual artists, poets, and more. The regular Open Mic Night repeats next Wednesday and on the first Wednesday of every month. Their Open Comedy Night for comics 18 and older is held on the third Tuesday of every month. Vern Colburn is Live on the Piano on Friday Nights, Dayve Huckett on the guitar on the first and third Saturday, and additional performances by Abby Road, Sean Ashby, Sean Casey, Bobby Cee, Isaac and Dominic French, Mint Julep, and Robert Young.

SOUTH HERO--The Blue Paddle Bistro summer Haymeadow Music Series offers live music every Sunday night at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday night at 6:15 p.m. out in the "Back Forty." Sunday nights feature different artists; singer/songwriter Carol Ann Jones hosts Tuesday nights in the Paddle version of a Open Mic. Ms. Jones' invites patrons and friends to join her on stage.

FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF
FRANKLIN--Movie at the Haston is a hero flick on Friday at 2 p.m. There's a special treat: make your own smoothie by pedaling a bicycle and then sip-n-watch. Refreshments provided.

HIGHGATE--Art Camp at the Highgate Public Library begins Monday and continues 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. all week. It's imagination hands-on inside the world of art.
