BURLINGTON--The 32nd annual Discover Jazz Festival continues through Sunday with national and Vermont touring artists on stage, up and down the Marketplace, and in venues around the City. Leunig's Bistro hosts the Will Patton Ensemble this afternoon at 4 p.m. The Festival also features Jenni Johnson & The Jazz Junketeers and many more. ON STAGE LIVE

Thursday
ST. ALBANS--The One Fed Summer Concert Series presents No Left Turn this evening at 7 p.m. The quintet of Jeff Chapman, Dave DuPrat, Mark Goldstein, Dick Lees, and Scott Russell plays classic rock and blues.
The summer concert series has performers under the tents every Thursday, rain or shine.
BURLINGTON--The Breakwater Cafe and Grill summer schedule has bands playing Wednesday through Sunday every week. The lineup this week features Revolver tonight, Justice rockin' by the water on Friday, and Summer Sounds favorite Mango Jam on Wednesday, all starting at 6pm.
The summer schedule has performers playing Wednesday through Sunday but it is weather dependent so call the cafe (802.658.6276) or click here for updates.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents the "spectacular duo" of James and Sophia on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Coon Hill John on Saturday at 7 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--The Moose Hall hosts the Conrad Samuels Band playing country and old time rock & roll on Saturday evening at 7 p.m.
Admission is a $5 cover charge, at the door.
SARATOGA--Cafe Lena hosts a Mandolin Masters Concert with Will Patton, Carlo Aonzo, David Surette, and Alan Epstein on Saturday at 8 p.m. The mandolin takes center stage as these four extraordinary masters reveal the voice of the traditional instrument in an afternoon of workshops. Each is 2 hours long and limited to twelve students.

Tuesday
SOUTH HERO--Music in the Meadow as the Blue Paddle Bistro and Carol Ann Jones host an open mic show Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
Ms. Jones will lead the show "on a grand little stage behind the bistro" where dinner and drinks are served. It is weather permitting so call the Blue Paddle (802.372.4814) to be sure.
RUTLAND--The Chaffee Presents a Plein Air Workshop with Cynthia Rosen. The 3-day event will take place July 5 - 7, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. WORKSHOPS
This workshop will go "on location" to three sites in Vermont. The focus will be on meeting people at their own skill level and stylistic preference (from representational to abstract) while providing individualized instruction in the natural landscape. Each day students will produce a minimum of one quick study and one completed painting. Students will provide their own transportation, lunch and supplies.

AMERICAN LANDSCAPES EXHIBITION (June 17)--Any original 2-D and 3-D artwork depicting a landscape from one of the Americas is eligible for entry in this juried show at Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis. Cash awards. Entry fee. JUNE-JULY ART DEADLINES

ANNUAL CONTEMPORARY ART SURVEY (June 19)--The Lincoln Center in Fort Collins invites U.S. visual artists to the national juried Annual Contemporary Art Survey. The open call seeks works in all media that "together will present a survey of contemporary art in America." The Lincoln Center is one of Colorado's largest and most diverse presenters of professional dance, music, theater, and visual arts. Cash awards. Entry fee.

ST. ALBANS--Local writer Tammy Flanders Hetrick will read from her debut novel, Stella Rose, at The Eloquent Page on Saturday at 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The reading and book signing will introduce a book of family drama mixed with romance, violence, and mayhem. "But mostly," she says, "it's about the power of friendship."

ST. ALBANS--Classic Movie Night this evening at 6 p.m. features Star Trek IV, The Voyage Home. Captain Kirk, Spock and the rest of the Enterprise crew must travel back in time in order to save our planet from a deadly alien probe. Written and directed by Leonard Nimoy. Films are shown on the 4' by 6' screen in the upstairs conference room cinema. Admission is free, along with popcorn and beverage.
The library holds Tech Support Saturday on Saturday, of course, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. for one-on-one tech support with volunteers from Technology for Tomorrow.
Tuesday brings Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence to the Classic Readers Book Group at 6:45 p.m. The semi-autobiographical novel explores emotional conflicts in suffocating relationships with a demanding mother and two very different lovers. A limited number of books are available at the circulation desk. New members are always welcome.
Father's Day Craft Day is a chance to stop by during open hours to make a personalized card for Dad on Wednesday.
