Mando magician Will Patton has a new CD just in time for Christmas. Time's Arrow "features my long time bandmates David Gusakov, Dono Schabner, Clyde Stats, Gabe Jarrett, also my daughter Anna and Montpelier piano great Michael Arnowitt." It was recorded and tweaked by Andre Maquera at West Street Digital and is the culmination of almost two years of writing and arranging.
Bluesman Nobby Reed has a long list of great CDs including his newest, Hard To Quit, plus An Evening with NRP and more available in his online store, nobbyreed.com.
Singer, writer, pastor, and AAC director Tim Stetson has the book On Vermont Time and a Gospel Music CD He'll Never Let Me Fall available.
On Vermont Time features many of Mr. Stetson's short pieces as well as the work of other Vermont authors, poets, photographers and artists including poetry by Lauren Young and Roderick Bates, drawings by Kraig McFadden, and the posthumous publication of prose by Lou Hill, and photos by Gardner Stetson and Harold Green. ENOSBURG FALLS--The Artist In Residence Gallery features different artists each month. This month, the spotlight is on painter Pat Burton, painter-muralist-photographer Natalie Larocque-Bouchard, and photographer Maggie Young. ART ON THE WALLS
"This is our big sale of the year," Ms. LaRocque Bouchard said of this show. "In my case, it means I can pay for my new chimney."
Art teacher Pat Burton of Georgia works with watercolor, acrylic, and fabric paint on paper and canvas. She uses a colorful palette and is influenced by the movement found in the work of Vincent van Gogh. She uses her paintings as subjects for paper ear adornments and wearable art.
Freelance artist and All Arts Council founder Natalie LaRocque-Bouchard has accepted commissions in traditional and digital art, and in media ranging from hand-painted acrylics to murals, vinyl wall graphics, and photography. She is inspired by the natural beauty of northern Vermont's scenic landscapes, skyscapes, and wildlife.
Photographer Maggie Young is equally inspired by the beauty in nature. She holds "out hope that Dostoevsky's quote, 'Beauty will save the world' will one day be realized."
The A.I.R. gallery hosts a free meet-the-artists reception with refreshments on Sunday from 1 - 4 p.m. The exhibit continues through the end of December.
The Artist in Residence art cooperative features paintings, fiber arts, stained glass, sculpture, lamps, pottery, folk art boxes, scarves, hats and more by 45 Franklin County and surrounding area artists. It is owned and operated by the artists and sponsors. The gallery, located at 321 Main Street, is open Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus the first Sunday of each month, noon to 5 p.m.
MIAMI--Art Basel week is well underway with waves of well heeled collectors in town for tent fairs, installations, museum shows, and free cocktails. The art shows feature (mostly) modern and contemporary works through participating galleries, exhibition sectors, artworks plus additional productions by local institutions. Over 250 galleries participate, drawing over 70,000 visitors each year.
Prices are very high.
ICA Miami -- the Institute of Contemporary Art -- will open as a free art center and the next nexus for artists and art lovers in Miami's Design District. The 37,500-square-foot, three-story contemporary art museum will also have a 15,000-square-foot sculpture garden and will open in time for Art Basel 2016.

ST. ALBANS--The Festival of Trees community art and music continues this week with the Festival Gala tomorrow, Santa's Village, live music, and the Nightmare Before Christmas on Saturday, and more live music Sunday. TREED
The Festival of the Trees Gala features music by The Chevaliers as well as a martini bar, 14th Star beers and local wine, a raffle and a silent auction in City Hall tomorrow evening starting at 7 p.m. Artists, businesses, community members and community groups have created Christmas trees for the auction.
The Smokey Newfield Project and the City School Chorus & Drum Corp take over City Hall on Saturday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. with a day of live music. The Nightmare Before Christmas Themed 'Tween and Teen Glow-in-the-Dark Party turns down the lights at 6:30 p.m.
Bill Masse will rock a half hour acoustic set opening for Rosie Newton on Sunday as they and other musicians continue the City Hall live music festival on Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

STOWE--Stowe Performing Arts presents Summer Sounds favorites the Constitution Brass Quintet with a vocal sextet and Chris Vigneau on organ and piano in a Christmas Concert in the Stowe Community Church and carol sing-along this evening at 7:30 p.m. ON STAGE LIVE
There will be a reception following the concert at Helen Day Art Center.
Admission is $10 at the door. Children are free.
ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents Vern Colburn Live on the Piano in the Dining Room on Friday starting at 5 p.m. The live music continues with Coon Hill John on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Coon Hill trio of Sam Turner, Chad Conant, and Chris Bradley plays a high energy mix of old and new, pop, country, folk, rock, and bluegrass with an organic arrangement of mandolin, banjo and guitar.

ESSEX JUNCTION--On Tap offers Blues Night with the Nobby Reed Project tonight at 7 p.m. Vermont's best known blues trio includes Eric Belrose, percussion, Ray Bushey, bass, and Mr. Reed on lead guitar and vocals.

RICHFORD--The Richford First Baptist Church presents the Christmas musical Wonderful Counselor tomorrow evening at 7 p.m.
The original production tells the story of the birth of Jesus with music by a variety of Christian Music composers. It was written by Richford First Baptist Church pastor and Guardian Angel Ministries founder Tim Stetson.
Wonderful Counselor stars Peter Garrow as Isaiah; Rebecca Anne Bennett as Mary; Robert Willey as Joseph and a supporting cast of 17 local performers and singers accompanied by keyboard player Rod Sanborn.

JERICHO --The Jericho Cafe & Tavern presents Carol Anne Jones with Will Patton tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m.

ESSEX JUNCTION--Justice bangs the Park Place Holidaze Bash tomorrow evening at 9:30 p.m.
The band includes Scott Belisle on bass and backup vocals; Rodney Bushey, lead guitar and vocals; Gary Greeno, lead vocals; Scott Guptill, rhythm guitar and backup vocals; and Mike Stella, drums.
Admission is free.
SOUTH BURLINGTON--Higher Ground presents the Planet 96.7 Let It Snow Show on Saturday at 7:30pm. The Contois School of Music Band will open for The Ready Set in this benefit evening for Christmas is For Kids through the Salvation Army.
New York City comedian Kyle Ploof will be there, and there will be special appearances via live satellite by Flo Rida, Charlie XCX, Pat Monahan from Train, Cobra Starship, Mary Lambert, Echosmith, Christina Perri, Becky G and more.

ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls Community Christmas Concert gathers the family together on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Community Chorus and the Enosburg Town Band event celebrates traditional music in Franklin County's historic (and heated) theater. The concert will feature traditional hymns and seasonal songs.

SHELBURNE--Fiddleheads Deck the Halls at the Shelburne Museum on Sunday at 11 a.m. The three-day weekend of special programming runs tomorrow through Sunday to celebrate the holiday season. The Sunday theme is Candy Cane Mice and Snowman Sock Puppets.

ENOSBURG--All aboard for family movie night on The Polar Express at the Opera House at Enosburg Falls on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ON THE BIG SCREEN
