ENOSBURG FALLS--The Artist In Residence Gallery features different artists each month. This month, the spotlight is on painter Harald Aksdal and multimedia artist Pam Krout Voss. ART ON THE WALLS
Mr. Aksdal's detailed landscapes express his admiration for the natural world, and especially the trees. Ms. Voss wrote about her work in this exhibit, "As a child, the Monarch Butterfly helped to instill a love of nature, an appreciation of the complexities of systems and an awareness of the connectivity amongst all."
The A.I.R. gallery hosts a free meet-the-artists reception with refreshments on Sunday from 1 - 4 p.m. The exhibit continues through the end of November.
The Artist in Residence art cooperative features paintings, fiber arts, stained glass, sculpture, lamps, pottery, folk art boxes, scarves, hats and more by 45 Franklin County and surrounding area artists. It is owned and operated by the artists and sponsors. The gallery, located at 321 Main Street, is open Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus the first Sunday of each month, noon to 5 p.m.
ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls hosts a screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show on Halloween at 11:59 p.m. with a live cast. ON STAGE LIVE
The "shadow cast," a group of pantomime actors, will play the show in real time in the Opera House with the film. They won't sing or speak but they will "be acting in conjunction with the movie in costume!" Sarah Butson said. "We're very excited about this event."
The 1975 musical comedy stars Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick as a newly engaged couple who break down in and seek help at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter the sweet transvestite from transsexual Transylvania, portrayed by Tim Curry. The annual Transylvanian conventioneers, and a few lost monsters, sing and dance through this campy salute to horror movies and sexual liberation. Still in limited release, Rocky Horror has the longest-running theatrical release in film history.

Admission is $10 and no one under 17 will be admitted without an adult.
ESSEX JUNCTION--On Tap has a huge Halloween Costume Freakout with Justice for all on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. With Scott Belisle on bass and backup vocals; Todd Dunn, lead and rhythm guitar; Gary Greeno, lead vocals; Mike Stella, drums; and Scott Guptill, rhythm guitar and backup vocals have cash money prizes for the best costumes.

ENOSBURG--Justin Larose's newly opened Eats of Enosburg restaurant will have live music by the Missisquoi River Band starting November 15. There will be two seatings, at 6 and 8 p.m. only.
Chef Sharon Zecchinelli came on board to focus on local food and local music. The dinner will be in the Spanish style of tapas, or "seven small plates that makes a full meal" for conversation and company and entertainment.

MORRISVILLE--Moog's Place has "live music every night we're open, starting between eight and nine pm" with open mic night scheduled most Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--Shooters Saloon sponsors an open-mic night every Thursday and scheduled music on some other evenings.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs has cooked up a Halloween Party for Saturday at 8 p.m. There will be live music and Isaac will also act as a DJ. Prizes for the best costume and admission is free.
Twiggs offers Music to Dine By with relaxed music and the arts. They have three stages with live piano, violin, or light guitar any day of the week in the dining room, the Window, or the main stage. The Cabaret offers live performances by musicians, visual artists, poets, and more. Piano Night is every Monday night at 6 pm. The regular Open Mic Night repeats next Wednesday and on the first Wednesday of every month. Their Open Comedy Night for comics 18 and older is held on the third Tuesday of every month. Vern Colburn is Live on the Piano and Dayve Huckett on the guitar, with additional performances by Abby Road, Bobby Cee, Mint Julep, Sean Ashby, and Sean Casey.

ST. ALBANS--The Traveled Cup offers open-mic nights for musicians as well as poets and other performers to share their talents. The shop is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--The St. Albans Free library celebrates Heroic Halloween today at 5 p.m. Kids are invited to trick-or-treat in the Library and Teddy will be dressed as a favorite superhero for photo opps. FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF
The Friday Afternoon Comedies occur at 1 p.m. The library shows a newsreel, cartoon, and trailer of coming attractions before each weekly movie. All films are shown on the 4' by 6' screen in the upstairs conference room "cinema." Admission is free, along with popcorn and a beverage. Call 802.524.1507 for details.
Susan Arnold of East Thetford paints rugs. She loves the endless color and pattern combinations, and creates traditional and original, often whimsical, designs. Her site includes a multi-room gallery, a featured floorcloth which this summer offered Bees to highlight the plight of the honeybee, a bio, custom designs, use and care, and ordering.
