MVU presents Annie in the Trahan Theater this at 7 p.m. The run continues through Saturday, April 12. NOT ORPHANED
Annie is played by Highgate's Rising Star Finalist Alanna Freeman. Myriam Bouti plays Mrs. Hannigan; Caleb Robertson, Daddy Warbucks; Jessica Duprey, Grace; Sean Culligan, "Rooster"; Elijah Legault plays Lily; and Sam Caswell becomes FDR. This year's show is directed by Christine Penney.
The popular Broadway musical is based on Harold Gray's comic strip Little Orphan Annie, with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and a book by Thomas Meehan.
Admission is $10 or $7 for students and seniors. Advance tickets are available at MVU and Salon Elixir. Tickets will be available at the door but come early. The shows often sell out.
ST ALBANS--The Northwestern Medical Center Gallery hosts photographer and dairy farmer Lena Brown this month. Ms. Brown is exhibiting landscapes around Jay and Enosburg Center plus her pets -- cats and cows and miniature horses and dogs. ART ON THE WALLS
The show continues through the end of April.
LEWISTON, MAINE--The Franco Center presents Michele Choiniere with champion fiddler Don Roy and his Ensemble in Heritage Hall on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ON STAGE LIVE
Ms. Choiniere's performances have a cafe-cabaret feel with her blend of traditional Franco-American and Quebec folk songs, her own originals, some jazz standards, and an occasional French classic.

ST. ALBANS--The Twiggs Comedy For A Cause series continues on the Main Stage Saturday evening at 7 p.m. The evening will raise money to support the Community Justice Center. The stand up show celebrates one year raising funds to support nonprofits in our community.
Colin Ryan of A Stand Up Life produces the show. Admission is $15. There are just 75 seats available at the restaurant. Call Kelly Ahrens (802.524.7006) or email Ms. Ahrens for tickets. Make dinner reservations prior to the show since only drinks, appetizers, and desserts will be served during the show.

ST. ALBANS--Spring has sprung and Club Karib presents Justice with Scott Belisle on bass and backup vocals; Todd Dunn, lead and rhythm guitar; Gary Greeno, lead vocals; Mike Stella, drums; and Scott Guptill, rhythm guitar and backup vocals on Saturday evening at 9:30 p.m.
"I've been super-busy through this March and April with a very special project, dear to my heart," Carol Ann Jones wrote. OTHER ROOMINESS
Ms. Jones is in rehearsal for the play Girl in the Other Room and says it is "coming along beautifully!"
Sarah Jo Willey wrote The Girl in the Other Room after listening to the music of the same name by Diana Krall, an album she loves. It is a story about letting go, making peace with the past, and learning to live without regrets. It features a bunch of Ms. Jones' music.

FAIRFIELD--The Bent Northrop Memorial Library has Make a Pinata days and a Cinco De Mayo celebration. The paper mache work starts this afternoon and concludes Thursday, April 17, at 3-5 p.m. They will celebrate the Fifth of May on Saturday, May 3, with piņatas, huevos rancheros, friends, fun, and games. ST. ALBANS--The St. Albans Free Library Classic Movie Night continues this evening with Strangers on a Train at 6 p.m. Alfred Hitchcock produced and directed the 1951 psychological crime thriller and murder exchange with Farley Granger as the amateur tennis player, Ruth Roman, and Robert Walker as the charming psychopath, plus Leo G. Carroll, Patricia Hitchcock, and Laura Elliott. The library holds this film series regularly on the second Thursday of each month.
The library also holds Help with Electronic Devices for your tablet, e-reader, laptop or phone on Saturday, at 10 a.m. I suppose your new Internet-connected refrigerator would qualify but fridges are hard to get in the library doors.
The Kids' Saturday Movie Matinee brings the swashbuckling adventure to the screen at 1 p.m.
The library shows a newsreel, cartoon, and trailer of coming attractions before each weekly movie. All films are shown on the 4' by 6' screen in the upstairs conference room "cinema." Admission is free, along with popcorn and a beverage. Call 802.524.1507 for details.
Glenn Campbell's Campbell Plaster & Iron in West Rutland is an enlarging studio and full service art bronze foundry. He earned a sculptural degree at Rhode Island School of Design. His site showcases bronze work, enlarging, and architectural sculpture, and includes a look at the process of lost wax bronze casting. It has contact info and his (not very up-to-date) blog.
