Sarah Jo Willey's play, the Girl in the Other Room, answers that with a casting call to fill two supporting roles for the 2014 tour of the play in April Shows on stages in Burlington, Stowe, and St. Albans.
JONNA /JON J is the self-absorbed flamboyant art manager, 25-35ish, male or female. The producers will cast for the right person.
GROWN CHARLIE is Alora's supportive husband, a 40ish male
Auditions will take place at Enosburg High School on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Girl is a story about letting go, making peace with the past, and learning to live without regrets. Alora is married to her high school sweetheart, Charlie; they have a ten year old daughter. Alora's single mother has early-onset Alzheimer's Disease. The play includes music by singer/songwriter Tammy Rexx.

ENOSBURG--Enosburg Falls High School presents The Wedding Singer at the High School Auditorium this weekend. Performances will be held on Valentine's Day tomorrow at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. ON STAGE LIVE
The smash-hit Broadway musical was based on the Adam Sandler movie. The romantic comedy is a fast-paced, high energy tale of a wedding singer looking for true love and fulfillment set in New Jersey in the 1980s.
Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Tickets are available at the door.

SHELDON--The Abbey Restaurant hosts a Valentine's Party with Bad Horsey on Friday at 9 p.m.
Vermont's own classic rock band will play Rock and Roll favorites with Roy Hartson, lead guitar; Jason Leavitt, bass; Dave Wyman, lead vocals and guitar; and Dale Fisher, drums.
There is a $5 event cover charge.
ST. ALBANS--The Traveled Cup presents With Love, Anonymous on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
The acoustic pop/rock duo of California drummer Connor Vandagriff and Franklin County singer/songwriter Troy Millette writes and performs original material at their own gigs and opening for Steve Hartmann and Dionysia at area venues including Twiggs, the Radio Bean, and Higher Ground.
ESSEX JUNCTION--On Tap at the Lincoln Inn has Justice keeping their rock rolling for Lovers Weekend on Saturday night at 9:30 p.m.

GRANT SEEKER WORKSHOPS--The Vermont Arts Council will host free informational workshops for Vermont nonprofits and municipalities who may apply for Cultural Facilities Grants. CREATIVE ASSISTANCE

All workshops are scheduled from 1PM to 4PM.
The Facilities Program awards grants of up to $30,000 to help enhance, create, or expand of the capacity of existing buildings to provide cultural activities for the public. Improvements such as wiring, heating, ADA accessibility features (e.g. elevators, lifts, assistive listening systems, ramps, and bathrooms), lighting, and stage work are eligible.

ENOSBURG--The Enosburg Public Library is participating in the Vermont Humanities Council Reading Discussion Series. "Retellings" features a discussion of a classic, followed by a discussion of a retelling of that classic on the third Tuesday of the month. FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF
This month, the group will discuss The Dinner by Herman Koch at the library on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Your son and his cousin have lit a homeless person in an ATM cubicle on fire. They didn't mean to do it, of course. What's a loving parent to do? Join the discussion to find out.
RICHFORD--The Arvin A. Brown hosts a Quickbooks Class starting this Saturday at 9 a.m. It isn't fine art but Quickbooks is the most popular computerized Bookkeeping/Accounting program for personal and small business finances and we all have finances. Since it's at the library, they might have a book.
Instructor Gina Clark will cover company set up, invoices, bills, writing checks, and reconciling bank statements on Saturday. The library will lend laptops on an as needed basis. If you bring your own laptop to class you will need QuickBooks 2014 installed before class.
Attendees pay a special library rate of $40/per session.
ST. ALBANS–The Classic Readers Book Group meets at the St. Albans Free Public Lbrary on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. to discuss The Trial by Franz Kafka. One of Kafka's best-known works, this novel tells the story of a man arrested and prosecuted for crime neither he nor the reader ever understand.
