FAIRFIELD--Fairfield Center School students will have sculpture on display in the Bent Northrup Library. Students used paper mache, paint, clay and natural/raw materials to create mixed media diorama sculptures that pay homage to places in Fairfield that are meaningful to the artists. The works will rotate in as they are completed and be on display for a few weeks. ART ON THE WALLS
The library also has Rosalie Lepeltier's own collection of oil paintings on exhibit in the main collection room. The long-time East Fairfield resident paints familiar scenes from the area.

ENOSBURG FALLS--The Artist In Residence Gallery features different artists each month. This month, the gallery introduces "Artists' Choice," a new event which invites all AIR artists to "feature" one item to the gallery audience and briefly explain how it came to be made, its special features, and why it is worth some attention. The February Artists' Choice will include five minute presentations of members' newest works featuring Toby Fulwiler, Pam Voss, JoAnne Wazny, Maggy Young, Wayne Tarr, Jim Foote, Jan Brosky and more.
The A.I.R. gallery hosts a free meet-the-artists reception with refreshments on Sunday from 1 - 4 p.m. The exhibit continues through the end of February.
The Artist in Residence art cooperative features paintings, fiber arts, stained glass, sculpture, lamps, pottery, folk art boxes, scarves, hats and more by 45 Franklin County and surrounding area artists. It is owned and operated by the artists and sponsors. The gallery, located at 321 Main Street, is open Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus the first Sunday of each month, noon to 5 p.m.
FAIRFAX--The Country Pantry presents With Love, Anonymous with special guest Beth McMurray on Friday at 7 p.m. ON STAGE LIVE
The acoustic pop/rock duo of Californian drummer Connor Vandagriff and Franklin County singer/songwriter Troy Millette played Higher Ground earlier this month.
BURLINGTON--The Turning Point Center of Chittenden County hosts Open Mic/Amateur Talent Night every third Saturday of the month. The Turning Point is a drug-free recovery center.
Essex Junction guitarist Rick Rice performed live with his Gibson Les Paul Special at Turning Point last week. John Yackovetsky captured the show with an iPhone and posted it on youtube.com.
MORRISVILLE--Moog's Place has "live music every night we're open, starting between eight and nine pm" with open mic night scheduled most Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs offers Music to Dine By with relaxed music and the arts on three stages. They have live piano, violin, or light guitar any day of the week in the dining room, the Window, or the main stage. The Cabaret offers live performances by musicians, visual artists, poets, and more. The regular Open Mic Night repeats next Wednesday and on the first Wednesday of every month. Their Open Comedy Night for comics 18 and older is held on the third Tuesday of every month. Vern Colburn is Live on the Piano on Friday Nights, Dayve Huckett on the guitar on the first and third Saturday, and additional performances by Abby Road, Bobby Cee, Mint Julep, Sean Ashby, and Sean Casey.

Meg Cossaboom is working on a new project. A NEW PROJECT
"I am looking for folks to sing songs I have written," she said. I will be transposing keys to accommodate the ranges of the performers. I want to have enough songs to present a show that is about an hour and a half in length. There will be new arrangements for the songs, and hopefully unique interpretations from the individual performers.

CreativeGround, the Creative Economy Directory, went live online on Tuesday. It is New England's new and only regional directory of creative enterprises. CREATIVE ECONOMY
The New England Foundation for the Arts project, CreativeGround is part of an ongoing partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and all six state arts councils in the region. The site offers over 30,000 viewable and searchable profile of artists and arts organizations plus Native American artists, teaching artists, performance and exhibition venues, cultural organizations, creative economy leaders, and more.
The CreativeGround team will promote the site throughout New England with a tour of that showcases the people, places, and communities that drive the regional creative sector.

Sculptor James Florschutz of Newfane often combines wood and stone with other materials to create works that relate to a specific site. His contemplative sculptures and environmental use art as a language of a soul in touch with nature.
