Stop in for live music and more at the Fairfax Music Sessions at the Foothills Bakery in Fairfax most Saturday afternoons at 1 p.m., at various restaurants around Franklin County throughout the week, at the Bayside in St Albans Town most Sunday afternoons, and the Cambridge CoffeeHouses at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of every month.

June is National Dairy Month; the Enosburg Falls Lions club celebrates 57 years of Vermont Dairy Festivals this weekend with Supercharged entertainment and magical family activities. Most of the stage shows and entertainment are on the People's Trust Bandstand in Lincoln Park. All the outdoor entertainment is free. DAYS AND DAYS OF DAIRY
The Dairy Festival begins today and continues through Sunday in downtown Enosburg Falls.
The Mooooving Parade starts Saturday at 10:30. With marching bands and mobile mooving murals, it is one of Vermont's largest parades.
All that milk includes some art. The Masonic Hall adjacent to the park hosts the Arts and Crafts show starting Saturday at 9 a.m.
THURSDAY--The Vermont Dairy Festival Scholarship Pageant Finals are held this evening at 7 p.m. in the Opera House at Enosburg Falls as college-bound seniors return for final judging. The competition tonight includes poise and appearance, stage interviews, and youth fitness.
The Enosburg Lions offer scholarship prizes ranging from $125 to $750.
Admission is $8. Tickets will be available at the door.
FRIDAY--Female vocalist Alanna Freeman of Highgate gets us off to a good start. 6 p.m. on the Green.
Carol Ann Jones and the Superchargers has some of best musicians in Vermont backing up the popular Georgia singer/songwriter. Andre Maquera, lead guitar and backing vocals; Gary Spaulding, drums; Will Patton, bass, tenor, steel guitar and backing vocals; and Thom Carvey, bass, saxophone and backing vocals will light off the stage at 7 p.m.
SATURDAY--The Parade begins at 10:30 and the Dairy Festival hosts a marching band competition at the Main Street reviewing stand at 12:30 p.m.
The front porch string band Chasing 440 plays bluegrass and "old tyme rhythms" fronted by David Benway, vocals and lead guitar; Arnold Royea, fiddle and mandolin; Bill Masse, dobro and other instruments, Mike Ryan, vocals, banjo, Blueridge flattop, and mandolin. 1 p.m on the Bandstand.
Peter Professor Fairbanks Miller has been playing violin for 44 years. You may hear jazz, classical, rock, folk, fiddling, and improv on a traditional as well as the 6-string electric violin. 1:45 p.m. on the Bandstand.
Todd Wellington, the King of Silly is billed as "pound for pound, the finest entertainer in three states" from Red Sox games to NASCAR races. Look for juggling, unicycling, balloons, magic, and physical comedy. 2:30 p.m. on the Green.
The seven piece western swing band Rick and the Ramblers is a high energy, danceable trip back to a time of live radio. Rambler bandleader Rick Norcross is celebrating his 50th year as a Vermont touring artist. A Rick Norcross biography and the Ramblers' new CD project both came out this month. 3 p.m. on the Bandstand.
A new Kiddie Act takes off at 5 p.m. under the white tent on the Green.
The Northeast Fiddlers Association is dedicated to preserving and promoting old-time fiddling and its related arts and skills. 6:15 p.m. on the Green.
Dark Horse was scheduled to bring their Country/Southern back to Dairy Days but when Bob Corbiere's father, musician and composer Merrill Corbiere, passed away on Monday, they suggested that the Tim Brick Band take their place on stage. Singer songwriter, guitar player, and native Vermont country singer Tim Brick has been on stage since he was 12. The band includes Steven Quenneville, drums, Todd Wells, bass, and George Seymour, pedal steel and banjo. 7 p.m. into the fireworks on the bandstand.
"We couldn't be there but we wanted everyone to see a really great show," Bob Berger of Dark Horse said.
The Fireworks will actually shoot over the mighty Missisquoi at 9:30 p.m.
SUNDAY-An all day Bluegrass Festival kicks off the day at 10 a.m. on the Bandstand and the Green.
Chasing 440 plays again at 10 a.m and 1 p.m. on the Bandstand.
Bob Degree and the Bluegrass Storm's hard-driving bluegrass sound blends bluegrass standards with original songs, and tight three-part harmonies. The band is Bob Degree, guitar, mandolin, vocals; Andy Bromage, banjo, guitar, vocals; Kirk Lord, bass and vocals; and Andy Sacher, mandolin and vocals. 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the Green.
Bill Gaston, banjo; Michael Santosusso, upright bass, tenor and lead vocals; Matt Schrag, guitar and vocals; Freeman Corey, fiddle; and Neil Rossi, mandolin and fiddle, lead and baritone vocals of Big Spike Bluegrass emphasize 3- and 4-part harmonies with a hard-driving traditional set list. 12 noon and 3 p.m. on the Green.
The Cow Plop Contest which has greener grass starts around 5 p.m. On the street.
The men and women of the Enosburg Lions volunteer their time to conduct service projects and raise funds for the local community. They contribute to senior citizens' programs, area school projects, community health services, the Enosburg public library, family assistance and drug/alcohol programs, fire and ambulance services, other non-profit organizations, scholarships, as well as to the Lions International sight and hearing programs. The Vermont Dairy Festival is the Enosburg Lions' primary source of funding for these programs with thousands of man-hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars donated to the community.
The Vermont Dairy Festival midway opens at 6 p.m. this evening. Entertainment on the bandstand starts Friday evening at 6 p.m. and the weekend activities begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday in downtown Enosburg Falls. MORRISVILLE--River Arts presents ART100, an everyone wins art raffle to benefit River Arts in the River Arts Center on Friday at 6 p.m. ART ON THE WALLS
There will be a cash bar, live music, catering by the River Arts Culinary Program, and an additional live auction. A $100 ticket buys one piece of original art with a value greater than $100 and admission for two. Click here for more info.
ST. ALBANS--Chow Bella's Comedy for a Cause series features the Northeastern Family Institute tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. The charity event series is a night of stand up comedy with several of Vermont's best comedians. ON STAGE LIVE

Colin Ryan of A Stand Up Life produces the show. Admission is $15. There are just 70 tickets available at the restaurant.
BURLINGTON--The 30th anniversary Discover Jazz Festival fires up the Queen City starting today and continuing through June 9. Look for Eliane Elias, Branford Marsalis, Bobby McFerrin, Poncho Sanchez, and more than 100 other well known national and Vermont touring artists on stage at the Flynn, up and down the Marketplace, and in venues around the City.
The Will Patton Quintet plays Leunigs Bistro on Church Street on Monday, June 3, at 3 p.m.

CASTLETON--The Concerts on the Green present Anna Patton's great band, Elixer, with special guest and proud papa Will Patton at one of the oldest music series in Vermont on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
