ART ON THE WALLS

WESTON, VERMONT--Vermont fine artist Corliss Blakely's last art show in Weston begins tomorrow and continues through October 14.
"This will be my final show with all my traditional paintings," Ms. Blakely said. CLICK HERE: ART SITE OF THE WEEK

Local rock band Justice has a new page on their site, dedicated to all their faithful fans. Most of the pictures date back to the band's beginnings two years ago but they add new shots with each event. They even advertise to seek out the band photographers at a show and ask to be a "Justice Leaguer." It's a good way to connect with an audience. The site itself has info about the band, show dates, more photos and video, the swag shop, contacts, and social network links.
Artists, photographers, dancers, and other bands could take a page out of the Justice book of how to build a user-friendly site that keeps the audience coming back: a collector holding her favorite artist's painting or a dancer pirouetting en pointe above an enthralled child.

FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF

ArtBits features a quick weekly peek at the bookshelf or night stand of the folks you know in and around Franklin County. That popular feature has a page of its own at the Franklin County Bookshelf here on the AAC site.
