ST. ALBANS--The Village Frame Shoppe and Gallery exhibit, Echoes of Vermont's Landscapes, continues for a few more days at their Main Street store. ART ON THE WALLS
This exhibit is a tribute to Vermont landscapes with paintings by Sean Dye, Corliss Blakely, Jim Gallugi, Henry Trask Reilly, Peter Miller and Susan Larkin. In the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, this show illustrates the fragile beauty of Vermont's landscapes and the echoes of its present, its past, its strength.
SHELBURNE-Bread and Butter Farm hosts Burger Night with Young Tradition Vermont tomorrow evening, starting at 4 p.m. The event features the Irregulars and Haliana Burhans. ON STAGE LIVE
The Irregulars are a bunch of fun-loving young musicians, ages 13-16, who play traditional tunes from Ireland, Cape Breton, Appalachia, Quebec, New England, and Scotland. Members include: Oliver Scanlon on mandolin, Oliver, Eileen O'Grady and Christopher Krag on fiddle; McKinley James on cello fiddle and Irish dance; Laura Harris on piano accordion; Amanda DeBellis on flute; and Dana Hartshorn on piano. The group won first place at the 2011 Young Tradition Weekend in Burlington on May 14th.
Ms. Burhans is a 15-year old piper from Charlotte. She has studied the small pipes and whistle with Tim Cummings for over 5 years and has traveled to Prince Edward Island and Scotland to learn and enjoy traditional folk and celtic music.
The Irregulars and Haliana are appearing at Burger Night as part of traditional music and dance showcases Young Tradition Vermont helps present at events throughout New England and Quebec. click here for more info.
SOUTH BURLINGTON--Franny O's presents Justice tomorrow evening at 9 p.m.
The band includes Chris Fleury, lead vocals and drums; Scott Belisle on bass and backup vocals; Todd Dunn, lead and rhythm guitar; and Scott Guptill, rhythm guitar and backup vocals.
ST. ALBANS--The American Legion Hall hosts a benefit for Terry and Diana Pilon on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
The Nobby Reed Project, Phil Graziano and The Houserockers, and Jimmy T. Thurston and the Sleepy Hollow Boys will perform all afternoon.
Vermont State police said at the time that Barbara Lucier, 62, was allegedly drunk and headed east on Route 105 when she crossed the centerline and collided head-on with Terry and Diana Pilon's westbound motorcycle. Both were thrown from the bike and suffered severe head and leg injuries.
The Pilons are now ready to make the transition home; their friends are creating handicap accessibility within their home. The concert also celebrates their wedding anniversary.
The Project plays Vermont's best blues with Mr. Reed, lead guitar and vocals, Ray Bushey, bass, and Eric Belrose, drums. His CDs include Guitar on My Back, Hold the Truth, and the new two-disc live album, An Evening with NRP.
The Alburg band, the Houserockers, has Phil Gaziano, Lead guitar and Vocals; John Lacard, Lead guitar and Vocals; Walt Delaney, Bass, and Mike Bishop, Drums.
Renowned Vermont singer-songwriter-band leader Jimmy T Thurston leads the Sleepy Hollow Boys with his best friend from the 60s, Michael Bevins, drums, Tim Brick, lead guitar, Bill Carruth, lead guitar, and Summer Sounds favorite Mark Legrand, bass.
Admission is by suggested $10 donation. There will be a 50/50 raffle, an auction of many items from local merchants, activities, and lots of music.
BURLINGTON--Wednesday is Vermont Youth Orchestra Community Night at the Bluebird Tavern, beginning at 5 p.m.
The fun night out offers a delicious meal and a party atmosphere as a fundraiser for the VYOA. The Bluebird will donate a portion of the evening's sales to support VYO orchestral, choral and financial aid programs. Reservations are strongly recommmended. Call 802.540.1786 for reservations.
BURLINGTON--The UVM Old Time Music Club hosts a Shape Note Sing in Ira Allen Chapel at UVM every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Mason Gohl holds pitching/leading/sight-reading lessons before the Sing at 6 p.m. Check for occasional changes in time, date and location. Email for more info.

iArt ART SHOW (October 1 and October 13)--The Village Frame Shoppe and Gallery wants iPad or iPhone artwork to be exhibited in the first of what they plan to be an annual iArt show. The show will hang October 15 - November 12. CALL FOR ARTISTS
Artists should deliver no more than 5 pieces to the Village Frame Shoppe and Gallery by October 13. Artwork should be framed or mounted and ready for display. If your iArt is only in digital form, the Mr. Pattulo has print and framing options and will offer a discount on printing and framing done for this show. Email that art no later than Saturday.
