Stop in for live music and more at the Fairfax Music Sessions at the Foothills Bakery in Fairfax most Saturday afternoons at 1 p.m., at ChowBella or at the Overtime Saloon in St Albans 8-10 p.m. most Wednesday evenings, at the Bayside in St Albans Town most Sunday afternoons, and the Cambridge CoffeeHouses at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of every month.

I'd be (a) lion if I told you the March weather did not hurt our exhibit attendance. The ongoing Spring Fine Art Exhibit by AAC and Art's Alive at Union Station in Burlington has put the work of many Franklin County artists on the walls there for the first time. Snow cancelled the March Art Walk and kept art lovers away from our reception last month so the groups have extended the Franklin County exhibit and sale through April 27. SPRINGING INTO ART
The All Arts Council will host a second "Meet the Artists" reception tomorrow evening as part of the First Friday Art Walk at Union Station in Burlington. Snow notwithstanding.
"I don't care if it rains or freezes," photographer April Henderson said. "I'll be there."
The free evening is a chance to mingle with arts lovers from around the Champlain Valley. First Friday Art Walk opens the doors of Burlington's visual arts community with guided tours and independent walks to visit local art venues tomorrow evening from 5-8 p.m. The free walking tours leave from the Firehouse Gallery every half hour starting at 5:30 p.m.; the last tour leaves at 7 p.m.
The event has its spotlight on the paintings of Franklin artist Natalie LaRocque-Bouchard. The exceptional oil and watercolor paintings, fine art photographs, digital art, mixed media, and prints including fine artists Jane Bower, Mary Harper, Joy Perrino, and Valerie Ugro, and photographers Janet Bonneau, Dick Harper, April Henderson, David Juaire, Gustav Verderber, and Lauren Young.
The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Union Station is located at One Main Street at the western edge of Burlington. Admission is free.
ARTS and CULTURAL CENTER--The second Arts and Cultural Center for Franklin County public forum (and working meeting) is coming to plan a summer program, examine survey results, and rethink the mission statement. The free gathering will be held in the Northwestern Medical Center Conference Center next Thursday, April 12, at 7 p.m. SAVE THE DATES!
ART GUILD ART SHOW--On Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6, the Saint Albans Artists' Guild will hold Franklin County's Art Exhibit of the season. The event will be held in the Bliss Auditorium of the Saint Albans Historical Museum. The free event is a chance to see a fantastic collection of fine art and to meet the artists.
CHELSEA VILLAGE--Chelsea Grange hosts a Contra Dance with caller Mark Sustic and musicians Elly and Owen Marshall tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m. Call 802.883.2338 for more info. ON STAGE LIVE
ST. ALBANS--The Celebrating Small Wonders Festival takes place from 9-12 a.m. on Saturday at the St. Albans Town Educational Center with performers Gary Dulabaum and Mark Sustic. The Month of the Young Child kickoff event will include face painting, games, traditional American folk songs, songs every child should know, songs from books, sing-alongs, and fun. It is sponsored by the professional development workgroup of the Early Childhood Advisory Council and is focused on the birth-8 population.
Mark Sustic and Gary Dulabaum's performances include participatory music with songs and dance using fiddle, guitar, banjo, accordion, harmonica and more. Mr. Dulabaum is a nationally known performer, recording artist, author, and educator from South Burlington. Mr. Sustic is a presenter, musician, and dance leader who appears at concerts, festivals and dances throughout New England.

ST. ALBANS--The Kids Dancin' for a Cure party will be held at the American Legion on Saturday, 6-9 p.m. The event features country Singer Keeghan Nolan and has music, karaoke, games, face painting, and snacks. There are 40 raffle prizes, gift bags for the first 125 children, and 200 Vermont Voltage soccer admission tickets to give away. The event is a benefit for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Admission is $10 or more for the possibility of multiple raffle wins.

ESSEX JUNCTION--It's a busy week at the Lincoln Inn as they present Singer/Songwriter Night with Brett Hughes on Monday at 7 p.m. and Bluegrass Night with Blue Norther on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

FAIRFAX--The regular Music Session continues Saturday with acoustic instrumentalists playing traditional songs at the Foothills Bakery, 1-4:30 p.m. Admission is free by donation.
WATERVILLE--Cambridge Arts Council presents community dances on Saturdays at 7 p.m. in the Waterville Town Hall. The evening will feature contras, squares, circles, play parties and singing games and all dances will be taught. Bring a partner, the entire family, or come alone. Caller Mark Sustic offers dance instruction. Frank Heyburn and Michele Lajoie play. Guest musicians with acoustic instruments are welcome. Admission is $5 per person and $10 for families at the door.
ST. ALBANS--Chow Bella offers jazz and improv with guitarist Jerry Levine on Monday evenings, 6-9 p.m., and virtuoso guitar with Tom Leshinsky on Wednesday evenings, 6-8:30 p.m. Click here for more info.
ST. ALBANS--The Overtime Saloon offers Open Mic with Abby Jenne and Friends every Wednesday at 8 p.m. and Piano Bar with Dawna Messier every Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Abby encourages performers of all kinds to attend the Wednesday performances. If you need instrumental accompaniment, email with the title/artist of song you wish to perform. Armand Messier joins the Piano Bar every third Friday. click here for more info.
