  • Friday, April 28th - 12 noon to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 29th - 10 am to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 30th - 10 am. to 4 p.m.

Artist Corliss Blakely at the Maple Festival      The show will feature exceptional oil and watercolor paintings, fine art photographs, illustrations, digital art, mixed media, and prints by more than two dozen Franklin County artists including Corliss Blakely, Jane Bower, Mary Harper, Shawn Hennesey, Natalie LaRocque-Bouchard, and Valerie Ugro, and photographers Janet Bonneau, Bob Brodeur, Dick Harper, April Henderson, David Juaire, and Wayne Tarr, and more. The sale includes originals, fine art reproductions, and prints in all price ranges.
"Palettes of Vermont is on its way to being the largest statewide arts exhibition ever," AAC Chair Dick Harper said. Artists in every possible media have pledged to adorn, bedeck, create, and decorate more than 6,000 palettes statewide.
"We will have our initial showing at the Maple Festival," said S.A.F.F. Executive Director Karen Bresnahan.
Photographer Janet Bonneau at the Maple Festival      All Arts Council members, the Bishop Street artists, S.A.F.F. friends, area schools, and individual artists, photographers, writers, and community members have created artwork for Palettes of Franklin County (Vermont). The AAC and S.A.F.F. will host a three-day, giant palette decorating event as a Guinness Record attempt that will culminate at the Maple Festival parade. The AAC exhibit in the St. Albans Historical Museum will spotlight the earliest of the more traditional size palettes as the AAC kicks off a series of Palettes of Franklin County shows.
Palettes of Vermont      The Robert Bliss Memorial Auditorium caps the St. Albans Historical Museum. This newly restored space with views of Taylor Park and Lake Champlain is ideal for art shows, lectures, theatrical events, dances, and more.
"The new 4 stop elevator offers a comfortable way of reaching our show as well as the collections on the upper floors," Harper said. The art exhibit is handicapped accessible. The usual admission fee which supports the maintenance of the Museum’s collections is waived for the Maple Festival. Admission is free.
The All Arts Council Fine Art Exhibit and Sale is sponsored by the All Arts Council, the New England Central Railroad, St. Albans for the Future, the St. Albans Historical Museum, and Union Bank. The show (and the entire Museum) is open all three days of the Festival. Have we mentioned that admission to the exhibit as well as to the Historical Museum is free?
