Artists are invited to participate in a Barn Paint Out, which will culminate with an art exhibit at the Jericho Town Hall from October 8 – December 28, 2012. The Town of Jericho and a group of volunteers known as Art in the Town Hall are supporting the Paint Out by providing exhibit space for the work created during the event.
There will be no specific paint out dates; you may create your paintings anytime during the months of April through August 2012. You may paint alone, of course, but artists are encouraged to organize their own painting groups. The subject of each painting must include a Vermont barn. It would be helpful if you could identify the location of the barn when you submit your CD of your work (see below).
The 2012 Jericho Barn Tour is planned for October 13. Although the Tour is an event separate from the Paint Out, on that same day, from 1 – 4 p.m., there will be a reception at the Jericho Town Hall for the artists participating in the exhibit of paintings created during the Paint Out. The public will be invited and this will be a great opportunity for folks touring the barns to meet you and see your work.
Because exhibit space is limited, you may submit no more than one piece. Your CD submission packet must be received by no later than September 1. By September 15, you will receive a participation agreement and instructions for delivery of your artwork.
