RESTART NEWS

Gov. Phil Scott extended school masking guidance until at least October 4 and required vaccinations for state workers. Vermont reported 785 new COVID-19 cases last week. Franklin County, with 76.6% of residents with at least one dose of the vaccine, reported 166 in the last two weeks. The 7-day moving average positivity was 3.3%.
Here's my own, still current, advice. Get the shot(s) and take precautions. The vaccines are extraordinarily effective but nothing is 100% foolproof. Wash your hands. Wear a mask where you can't control the airflow around you until we reach the same herd immunity we have for smallpox and once had but lost for measles. Bonus: it will also help protect you from pollen, summer colds, and the winter flu.
