HIGHGATE--MVU presents The Addams Family, a New Musical Comedy, in the Trahan Theater for a three-day run starting this evening, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m. plus a special matinee on Saturday at 2 p.m. THEATER
Franklin County's darkest family comes to life in this original musical about love, family, honesty and growing up. As the curtain rises, the last dead leaf of autumn falls from the Family Tree, and all is right with the morbid, macabre world of Gomez, Morticia, Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch. They've gathered in the family graveyard, to celebrate.
Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors.
ENOSBURG--The Friends of the Opera House present King of Glory, a Community Passion Drama, in the Opera House at Enosburg Falls for a three-day run starting this evening, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Opera House company and local area churches celebrate the drama at the center of the Easter season
Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under, or $25 the entire family (they may charge extra for Lurch). Tickets on sale at the door or at the Opera House . Refreshments will be sold at intermission by the Friends of the Opera House.
"We have reached our goal!" Paule Gingras, president of Artist In Residence, wrote. ART FOR THE FUTURE
The AIR Gallery is located in a building owned by the City of St. Albans. The gallery began a Capital Campaign last Fall to purchase the building from the City. Local donations large and small have made the purchase a success and will anchor the arts in downtown St. Albans.
The campaign raised $29,000 for the down payment to purchase the building. "Thank you to the entire community, our friends, family, fans, and followers! We couldn't have done it without each of you!" Ms. Gingras wrote.
Peoples Trust Company will hold the mortgage.

SWANTON--The Swanton Arts Council offers an Introduction to Zentangle at the Swanton Free Public Library on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. IN THE SAC
Explore the relaxing and meditative practice of creating art with repeating patterns. Doodling enthusiast Judy Paxman will get participants started on this fun and stress-relieving art form that, just as a bonus, increases focus and creativity. Suitable for ages 16 and up. ST. ALBANS BAY--S.A.S. brings "classic rock with a twist" back to the Bayside on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Scott Guptill, April Reynolds Begnoche and Scott Belisle are energetic seasoned musicians playing classic and pop rock songs from the 70s to the 90s at the Bay's oldest bar and restaurant.
ALBURGH--Vermont's premier blues guitarist Nobby Reed sits in with The Houserockers at the American Legion Post #60 on Friday at 7 p.m.
SHELDON--The Abbey continues the Spring Music in the Pub series with Chris & Erica on Friday at 7 p.m. The local duo have won acoustic performer contests and have opened for Jamie Lee at Higher Ground.

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs presents the Harmonica Bob MacKenzie Blues Trio with Dennis Willmott and Missisquoi Slim on Friday and the rock, blues, and the odd country song of John Howell on Saturday. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

NEW YORK CITY--The Young Tradition Touring Group begins its week on tour in metro New York and New Jersey on Saturday.
ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Company presents Jammin' for Jim, a benefit concert for Jim Narsh featuring Chris & Erica and Friends in the Room on Saturday at 5 p.m.
Mr. Narsh has been diagnosed with an aggressive liver cancer and is undergoing intensive treatment. The fundraiser will alleviate some of the stress and financial burden for Mr. Narsh and his wife Tammy during this difficult time.
Admission is by donation at the door.
ESSEX JUNCTION--The Double E hosts Breathe Vermont with Jamie Lee Thurston and Quadra on Saturday at 7:30 pm. Doors at 7.
The musical legends join this fundraiser to increase awareness of pulmonary fibrosis. The lung disease occurs when lung tissue becomes damaged and scarred. This thickened, stiff tissue makes it more difficult for the lungs to work properly. The Vermont Lung Center mission is to improve care to the community and enhance education surrounding Pulmonary Fibrosis. All proceeds benefit the pulmonary fibrosis program at the VT Lung Center.

ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Company presents Tuesday Nights with Troy on the taproom stage on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Fairfield singer-songwriter Troy Millette is on stage for a musical journey of imaginative covers and original songs from his latest album, Living With A Ghost. His Spring residency continues every Tuesday through April 30.
Plan Ahead
BURLINGTON--Young Tradition Vermont hosts the 16th annual Young Tradition Festival from April 29 through May 5.
This year's festival is bigger than ever with nightly concerts featuring Beaton-Plasse, Allison de Groot and Tatiana Hargreaves, Le Vent du Nord, Genticorum, and Martin Hayes. There will be five post-concert "festival club" sessions led by host band Pete's Posse, a tribute concert for musician, community organizer and Summer Sounds favorite Martha Pellerin, and the Young Tradition Contest and Showcase featuring top young performers from Vermont and beyond.

ST. ALBANS--The Eloquent Page has a triple play this week. First up, the bookstore hosts a book signing for Honu Meets Kiyaya by Jennifer Cyr on Friday at 2:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. FRANKLIN COUNTY BOOKSHELF
The Middlebury writer's debut children's picture book follows the unlikely but charming friendship between a wolf and a sea turtle. The characters learn about each other and forge a special bond. It is illustrated by Jess Marony. Ms. Cyr is an early educator with a background in Psychology and Human Services
ST. ALBANS--The Traveled Cup hosts a Launch Party to celebrate the publication of J.P. Choquette's seventh thriller novel, Silence in the Woods, this afternoon at 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
In 1917, four friends and photojournalists set out in the woods to discover why so many hikers and hunters have gone missing around Shiny Creek Trail in the mysterious part of the Green Mountains. The two couples expect a great adventure; no one imagines the horrifying discovery that leaves one person dead and two others missing. Two months later, Paul, one of the four, returns to the forest to find his wife...
This long-awaited prequel to Shadow in the Woods delves into the supernatural and the human mind.
There will be a short reading, games, giveaways and more during the event.
ST. ALBANS--J.P. Choquette also appears at The Eloquent Page for an additional book signing of her thriller, Silence in the Woods. She will explore the darker side of the Vermont landscape to find Bigfoot, giant snakes, demonic dolls, man-eating bats, and more on Tuesday at 4 - 5:30 p.m.
