ST. ALBANS--The Grind Cafe hosts the Fall Family Paint'n'sip on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. ART YOU CREATE
Halloween is in the air for an event to paint the beautiful fall sights and enjoy the aromas and flavors of pumpkin spice and caramel apple ciders. This Saturday mid-morning event is a kid and adult friendly event.
The cost is $20 and includes supplies and a fall flavored drink.
ST. ALBANS--Nelly's has a Paint Your Own Pumpkin tutorial with Drgn Fli Studio on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Select your small to medium sized locally grown pumpkin at the bar and begin painting! Price includes pumpkin, paint, supplies and instruction. Fall flavored cocktail specials available as well as Nelly's full menu

ST. ALBANS--Twiggs hosts Paint Nite: Walk in the Fall Forest on Tuesday at 7 p.m. This event is SOLD OUT.
"Paint Nites" have become regular social events that introduces art to people who have never painted and to visit with friends while being creative. Artist Carrie Tatro brings "energy and fun" and will provide all the materials to create your own painting.

ST. ALBANS--St. Albans Community Arts and the city will host the Great Milk Can Art and Photography Reception and Auction in City Hall on Friday. ART FOR THE WALLS
The joint soiree and auction celebrates the hand-painted milk cans and the Mayor's Photography Contest choices. Both sets of items will be auctioned to the highest bidders. Refreshments served. Email for more info.
ST. ALBANS--Franklin County Chamber of Commerce hosts the October Mixer at the Artist in Residence Gallery on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Artists will talk about their process as you view work in an array of mediums and materials including sculpture, painted and drawn works on paper, fiber creations, jewelry, pottery and more. The evening includes art raffle prizes plus fare from Jeff's Maine Seafood.

SOUTH HERO--The Blue Paddle Bistro presents Carol Ann Jones in a solo singer-songwriter performance in the main dining room on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Ms. Jones will appear the third Thursday of each month.

ST. ALBANS--Open Mic continues on the Main Stage at Twiggs on TNT Comedy Thursday at 7 p.m. Doors at 6:30. This is a free show for mature audiences and space has been filling up quickly; call Twiggs to reserve a table. Make dinner reservations prior to the show since only drinks, appetizers, and desserts will be served during the show.
Next up, Twiggs presents Americana artist Cooie DeFrancesco's clear and vibrant vocal stylings on Friday and Boston singer/songwriter Ryan Sweezey on Saturday. Shows begin at 7 p.m.

ST. ALBANS BAY--The Bayside Pavilion hosts Squirrel on Friday at 6:30 p.m. It will be an evening of eclectic acoustic based and percussion driven music with vocal harmonies.
SHELDON--The Abbey continues the Fall Music Series in the Pub with music every Friday evening at 7 p.m. through the month of October. This week Sean Jarvis appears with new original music.
Saturday
ST. ALBANS--The 10th annual Blue Jean Ball takes over the American Legion Hall to celebrate Diamonds and Denim on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The benefit supports home health care and hospice in Franklin County with gifts in the silent and live auctions, chances on a Wine Pull, and grab bags. Proceeds from this event help ensure that FCHHA can meet the mission of providing medically necessary home health care to all who need it, regardless of their ability to pay.

ST. ALBANS--14th Star Brewing Company presents Gypsy Wind on the taproom stage on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The St. Albans duo of Jesse John Potts and Andy Hoadley plays an eclectic repertoire of freshly interpreted covers and originals spanning several decades and genres on the first Saturday of the month.
ENOSBURG--The Opera House at Enosburg Falls presents an explosive family-friendly Boom City Improv show on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The troupe "loves to spread comedy cheer all across Vermont" fusing many styles of comedy and music. This show includes music, stand-up, musical improv, and short-form improv with Mike Paternoster, VT's Funniest Comedian 2018 Tina Friml, She Thicc, and the Simply Saxes Quartet of Olivia Weed Laporte, Emma Hardy, Alisa Martin, and Jennifer Kirkpatrick. Snacks will be served in the lobby.
Admission is $5.
EAST FAIRFIELD--Beg, Steal or Borrow continues the 2018 Summer Evenings with Vermont Treasures series at the Meeting House on the Green on Saturday at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30.
The winners of the 2017 Podunk Bluegrass Festival, Jeremy Sicely, guitar; Geoff Goodhue, mandolin; Roland Clark, fiddle; Fran Forim, bass; and Luke Auriemmo, banjo have toured from Maine to Bermuda.
